More does mean bucks don't have to work as hard to find a receptive doe to breed.  Bucks don't have to move as much and there is less territorial fighting among them (that's why you see more busted up racks in the midwest).  As a result, hunters complain of a weak rut because they didn't see shit.

I think we have a predator problem out west.

Most hunters are down in the hayfields, not the mountains.

I have no idea.  Only killed one deer off my property.
