Probably the company that proclaimed they were making their own hammer forged barrels and that they're the best ever. Except they weren't making their own, couldn't get their machines to run right, and were subcontracting them out.

Quoted: Noveske post John. Not even close. And I’ve got a Noveske carbine View Quote Just out of curiosity, but why? Outside their somewhat insane (but not HK/KAC insane) prices, what makes them so cringe? Has their quality taken a dump? Don’t they still make good barrels and solid complete rifles? |

Thats easy, Hodge and Umbrella
I am convinced neither of these companies make any components, it is all in the iCloud universe. |

I'm mildly shocked all the bougie, expensive stuff is mentioned first, thought it'd be Strike Industries or something... which I kinda like some a their stuff

Quoted: What happened to Wyatt's? i watched their show, some of it was good .but the prices they charged were insane to me. but whatever, people paid it (in theory). View Quote Rich Wyatt lost his FFL while the series yet instructed his employees to continue to sell guns. He had customers go to another FFL holder to get transfers done. Due to his FFL book keeping issues, the IRS also got involved and he plead guilty to tax evasion. The show was fake as hell. The targets were wired to explode on command. One guest on the show said he didn't shoot a single target, and the exploding target scenes were edited in afterwards. They made up a story about him being a youth ministries pastor, then grabbed an 870 off their used rack to film being made into a defense gun. |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: I'm mildly shocked all the bougie, expensive stuff is mentioned first, thought it'd be Strike Industries or something... which I kinda like some a their stuff And they are cheap. Strike is an odd duck in that way. On one hand, they make Faxon level quality stuff. On the other hand, they have awful China quality anodized stupidity. |

Pretty much all of them are cringey these days. Excluding the unfashionable stalwarts who never had a clue and continue not having one, like Colt.

Spikes Tactical. I remember they used to be a popular option for a good quality but lower priced rifle. Now their rifles have skull lowers, and look like a dude dressed in Tapout clothes with a popped baseball cap on backwards.
|
|
I guess Taran Tactical wouldn’t count because he isn’t AR specific, but damn his “precious” thing should have caught him charges.
I don’t hate strike industries for trying to make affordable parts with a different aesthetic, but their logo is way too.. angular, and their takedown pins are so fucking stupid i feel like if they can’t make those right i can’t trust them with more important components. If i have to pick one company to shit on, it’s gonna be Colt. |
