Quoted: Idiocracy was also a mediocre/poor showing box office wise. They seemed to have a rough time marketing Mike Judge films back in the day. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Office Space was a massive flop. Idiocracy was also a mediocre/poor showing box office wise. They seemed to have a rough time marketing Mike Judge films back in the day. IIRC Idiocracy's problem was the studio itself did not give it a wide release. I like Office Space way more. Idiocracy is amusing, but the problem with a movie about annoying retards is you're surrounded by annoying retards for an hour and a half. |

LoL yeah. I think I’ve watched it twice, and not particularly recently. Real life is enough. |

I wouldn't say this movie from 1987 exactly flopped, but I recall it had a short run. I enjoyed it.

Quoted: From what I understand, the marketing for John Carter was horrible and really hurt it View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: That makes two of us. The movie was as good as it could be, given that movies have to change so many things. I guess it came out a bit late, most of the Burroughs fans having died off. It is amusing to see a young person's reaction to reading Tarzan, after being indoctrinated for so many years by Hollywood. From what I understand, the marketing for John Carter was horrible and really hurt it I get the feeling that this movie killed Taylor Kitsch’s future lead roles which I think is a shame. He’d be a great action movie star, much more believable than some actors that Hollywood forces us to believe. |

From what I understand, the marketing for John Carter was horrible and really hurt it I seem to recall there was Jake Gyllenhall movie that came out about that same time where he played an Aladdin type character. Some kind of Persian thief. I always got those 2 movies kind of mixed up with one another. The 2 of them combined just seemed too much. I ended up seeing the Gyllenhall movie later. It wasn't bad. The lead actress was hot as balls. |

Soldier (1998) Official Trailer - Kurt Russell, Jason Scott Lee Movie HD I enjoyed this one immensely. Being it's set in the same universe as Bladerunner and Aliens makes it really cool. |

They just threw it out there. View Quote This. It's a good sci-fi action movie on it's own terms - AND Karl Urban really captured Judge Dredd. It deserves a sequel. |

From what I understand, the marketing for John Carter was horrible and really hurt it At the time there had been a run of disastrous Mars themed movies so Disney was determined to keep “Mars” out of the marketing. Not a lot left to market then. Of course I knew what it was about since I’m a huge fan of the series, and I think they did a great job with the story. |

Quoted: That was a good movie View Quote Yep. Love it. I think a big part of ot flopping though was.... the trailer didn't represent the final product. Like that shit made it feel like it was going be 2 hours of Viking rape murder arson and rape. Then the movie comes out and its.... not. Also fun fact Alexander Skarsgard is fucking huge. That dude he was playing against in the game was THE GOD DAMN MOUNTAIN from GOT and he just felt like a kind of big dude. |

I liked it, but I am not a huge fan of adaptations of Hamlet (or rather, of the Saxo Grammaticus story that Shakespeare's Hamlet was based on) so it's not a movie I'd ever watch more than once. |

I have since filled my brain up with other different useless information but I remember my English teacher telling me there's only like 7 stories humans tell. Overcoming The Monster, Rags To Riches, The Quest, Voyage & Return, Comedy, Tragedy, and Rebirth. |
