I have a Springfield Xd Mod2 in 9mm(yes, with that Grip Zone bullshit, made in Croatia). I'm at 7500 rounds without a hiccup. It's my EDC piece, and I trust it.

Beretta 92FS, 9mm 1911, CZ-75, S&W 39-2, or 439, and the Browning Hi Power.
Somebody mentioned the USP, but it shines in the compact variant, not the full size. |

You need one of each major maker's flagship gun:
Sig P226 Beretta 92 Glock 17 CZ75 S&W M and P 2.0 HK USP Springfield XD FN 509 |
|
Then you need to start on PCCs:
CZ Scorpion B&T GHM9 Beretta PMX when it comes out Beretta CX4 Sig Mpx PSA AKV Ruger Charger 9mm Etc. |

USP, from what I can tell are not made anymore

Beretta 92

Quoted: No clue what you think is special about this gun. The weight, feel, and trigger are all whatever. Even in the same family the P30 is superior. Outside of that there are a plethora of quality options. Canik is on par and far less pricey. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: HK VP9 No clue what you think is special about this gun. The weight, feel, and trigger are all whatever. Even in the same family the P30 is superior. Outside of that there are a plethora of quality options. Canik is on par and far less pricey. LMAO, I have no clue why anyone would be bothered by what someone else would suggest that you dislike? Why are you this bothered by that suggestion? Not why you dislike the VP9, WHY you're bothered that someone made a benign comment that triggered you viscerally? Weight for it's Glock equivalent is 24.98 oz with the G45. The VP9 is 26.6 oz, which is splitting hairs over .08 ounces. So heavy!!!!!! Feel is just like any other modern plastic striker. With the exception of the CZ P10, the texture is fine as Glocks and has finger grooves that were on Gen's 3 to 4 Glocks, and not a deal breaker for some folks. The stock VP9 trigger beats even the improved gen 5 Glock trigger. And I really like the Gen 5 trigger, not as much as I like a properly made stock 1911 trigger though. The P30 is a DA/SA. The VP9 is a striker. Some folks prefer strikers over DA/SA. I know I do, which makes the VP9 more superior to me than the P30 that it was developed from. This means that what is inferior to you isn't the absolute and just a biased opinion. That means that the VP9 is another part of a plethora of options, that blows the Canik out of the water. And I've shot all three, there's nothing about the Canik that's better than the VP9, IMO. |

-CZ-75 variant, so it could also be an SP-01, Shadow, or Shadow 2.
-Beretta 92 variant. -Sig P22X variant. -BHP -Some sort of Glock; I don't really care for them but they're so prolific that everyone should have one. IMHO Walthers are better pistols, but not as iconic. |

Quoted: A CZ-75 pattern gun, a Beretta 92 pattern gun, and a Glock pattern gun would be my personal trifecta. If you own those three, you probably (I'm not fact checking it but I think it's a safe bet) own the majority of the planet's current or former sidearm (or parent of). View Quote Add to this list the P226 and I'd agree. |

I have a LTT Elite RDO, P226 MK25, USP Expert 9, Staccato P DPO, Zev OZ9 and none of those are nearly as fun or accurate as the TSO |

I had a Gen II CZ P09 supressor model in Urban Grey on backorder with Impact Guns for 11mo before they cancelled my order about 2 months ago. Seems to be unobtanium.
I have multiple full size 10mms and a full size .45 but all but one (Beretta 92) of my 9mms are compact. My wife's Gen 5 long-slide Glock 35 MOS with the competition trigger is really nice for a striker fired gun but I'm partial to hammer fire. Mike |

Quoted: A well rounded collection will have the AK of 9s, the P89DChttps://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/215362/ruger-p89dc-9mm-pr59486_jpg-2446359.JPG View Quote Maybe not a "Must Have" for everyone but definitely meets the OP's standard of pleasure and joy to shoot. The P85/P89 pistols fit the role of full size duty pistol as well as anything. Absolute and unfailing reliability, reasonably accurate and their big bulky size make them extremely soft shooting. |
