Once in a while, the mask slips, and the real reason for civilian disarmament sneaks out.
They couldn't possibly care less about "safety", it is all about control and it always has been. |

Might not be too bad. Maybe we can make munitions for a very nice democrat business owner and be one of the few who survive?

Quoted: I wouldn’t be surprised if some here would be OK with that as long as it doesn’t affect them and they can get back to work. There are plenty of people here who advocate that all of the so-called “at risk” people should be forced to stay at home under lockdown while the rest of the country gets back to work. View Quote No, people largely suggest that the at risk who WISH to sequester themselves do so (voluntarily), and that they stop using force to prevent the rest of us from living a normal life due to their irrational fear. If you want to be a doomer and hide in your cave for 2 years that's your right, but you should not expect others to do the same just because you're approaching your natural end of life or have so badly damaged your body through a life of sloth and gluttony that you're unable to survive a case of the sniffles. |

Quoted: I'm guessing there would be high mortality rates at these quarantine centers - well, at least at the ones that made you strip down and shower before you went in. I guess that's why they were showing mass burials in new york - to gauge the public opinion. View Quote I'm betting there would be high mortality rates among the individuals rounding up people to go to their "Quarantine Centers." |

"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."

Uh, we had internment camps set up for just this purpose a few months ago. These centers were set up near major airports that took international flights (Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, NY are the ones I've heard of). The trouble is many of them weren't suited for Covid and didn't have negative air pressure. Open the door and out goes the covid.

I know the right answer to that. They were Americans. Japanese-Americans is just more hyphenated bullshit. We don't do that to Americans because of what they might do, or what they look like. As for getting on the trains Churchill had the right answer to that IMO. The trains is the worse case. Fight until you die because the alternative is worse. "If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed;if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." |

Every state has laws that provide an enumerated right for people to refuse medical treatment. What's described in the NPR piece would qualify as false imprisonment.
