Do you guys really not understand what he means?

I"m no fan of Streamlight...I used to work in their repair department and will tell you that SL would accept components that were not up to specs. I don't know if they are still following this practice, but there are some greedy upper management running that company. I'd look at other companies before I ever bought a Streamlight. View Quote |

I prefer the standoff ability with a full size light in close quarters, makes contact shots a little more possible without pushing the slide out of battery. |

Hey genius, of all the replies to your post, this is the only one you choose to reply to? We're still waiting for a link to the 1000 lumen lights in this size class, and we ain't getting any younger. View Quote |

Seen it asked several times, without an answer...MSRP and street price available yet?

I'll stick with my TLR2 HL G at 800 lumens with a green laser. As for the "backsplash" complaints, they must be using "mirrors" for walls because I don't have any problem using the 1,000 lumen flashlights that I have inside my house with regular white colored walls. Now, if you're goofy enough to stand 5 ft. or less, away and shine the light directly at the wall in front of you, then you will get some backsplash. But 7 ft. or more and no problem, unless you suffer from cataracts.

Off subject, but the new COB work lights are amazing, like having a pocket of sunshine at your whim.

These guys have a point about the stand off utility of a full size light. I'd still prefer the compact lights.

Even though this guy got good hits the suspect got right up on him and he had to drive the gun right into the dirt bag to end the fight (at contact distance.) Maybe the dirt bag would have died, maybe he had a few more seconds and a few more rounds left to kill the officer. He wasn't going to wait to find out. |

I've had the ALP-C in my cart twice. I'm glad I haven't pulled the trigger.

Hopefully G Code does an Incog for this on a G19. I'd preorder it and the light right now.

Quoted: Muh White Walls in the house! Hurrrrrr. 500 lumens is plenty of light for anything you'd use a handgun for. Having the light be as wide and long ad the gun means it doesn't add to the overall dimensions of the pistol and therefore doesn't make it harder to conceal. If you're adding a light that's significantly longer and wider than the pistol you're mounting it to, your holster is also going to be longer and wider. At that point you night as well carry a larger pistol since you're already giving up the length and width. |
