Yeah, could be pretty cool if it's similar to 1911's.

As an aside, I hate how every trigger must now have a "dingus" even if it's SA, like this one. I feel like the possibility of catching just the edge of the trigger on something is remote and not worth putting a dumb anti-lawyer device on every damn handgun now just because Glock did it.

It's an inertial drop safety.

Just stoked to see a new carry-oriented SAO gun coming to market.

DAO striker fired is where the market has gone. (Hell, even including me most days).

I'd like to see an alloy (or even polymer) new modern take on the 1903 Pocket Hammerless.  SAO, striker fired, 9x19 with the new "stack-and-a-half" magazine hotness.

Like the R51.... but actually functional.

That's something that they already accomplished with the Shield EZ line. That checks off most of the boxes, except it's only an 8-round gun and it is technically a hammer fired SAO (the hammer is concealed by the slide).

Straight pull trigger? If so, interesting.

IMO the straight triggers of the 1911 is what made the gun. Always wondered why it hasn't been incorporated into more pistols.

I haven’t bought in to them.  I am not blind, have been handgun shooting for nearly thirty years.   Inside ten yards I really don’t need sights for a full sized not shielded body shot.  Draw and shoot with just a quick index of the back of the pistol on the target.   Inside 7 and point and shoot, doesn’t have to have eye level for hits.  Repetition, muscle memory.  Kind of handy when you get to the age where things like progressive lenses are your thing.  I know I have been benefitting from years of practice and the eye balls are waning.

The optics on pistols just makes it a little bulkier to carry.  I don’t want that yet.  I meant the yet. I could see getting to where it is a valid choice.

Earnestly, what’s the issue? The mechanism only allows for the pistol to be fired in single action, so single action only. Seems a weird thing to get hung up on

I won high overall in a local USPSA match shooting an open gun with no sights whatsoever.  That included poppers and plate rack.

When you shoot enough it gets easy.

I've EDCd a SIG 939 for about 6 years now. It's a good gun but there's things I don't love. LIke needing to replace the recoil spring every couple years... and the fiddly fuck slide stop retention spring.

If the trigger on that isn't total shit. I will likely buy one.

I’m betting the CS stands for Chiefs Special and this is their attempt at re-introducing and modernizing the 9mm pocket pistol of the same namesake:

https://www.genitron.com/Handgun/Smith-Wesson/Pistol/CS9-

One thing that really annoys me is when information on new models get leaked but manufacturers stubbornly stick to their original embargo date. We already know it’s coming, just tell us about it already
