Quoted: RDS on handguns probably benefit old guys with bad eyesight more than young folk. View Quote It does for my old eyes. Also the short sight radius of the micros, like the 43x, makes the switch easy. Teaching someone how to shoot is considerably easier for me on a pistol with a RDS. New shooters take right to it. |

Quoted:”Would you add something which adds virtually zero bet additional weight and only add bulk in dead space which doesn’t effect the ability to conceal in order to significantly increase performance from contact distance on out?” My answer is yes. Can’t be in your club, the older I get the more I need red dots for my pistols unfortunately….
Getting old sucks. Not willing to be slow as hell, doing the old head tilt method to try to see the irons with reading glasses either. So more red dots are actually the answer. |

Quoted: @AMarkypie has said every defensive weapon gets a light in the "deadly force" thread. @iwouldntknow didn't have to shoot, but "fixed a situation" by using his WML in the "deadly force" thread. @Flysc put down a pitbull with a 12 gauge and trying to fumble with the light and shotgun has made him out lights on everything. Seems you have ones on the "home defense" guns, but not the one you carry outside of the home. @grey50beast was in a self-defense shooting and mentions having a light on the gun in the "deadly force" thread. I always wonder why these RDS and/or WML threads always devolve into "well, when I have to use mine..." when many of those who've used a firearm in a defensive situation say they're glad they had a WML or wished they'd had one at the time. View Quote Yeah but I was buying crack in a back alley. |
