That semi trailer must be beat up pretty bad by now with all the times we've seen it hit here in GD.
|

I love how they didn't miss a step. Truck hits the nuke and they just keep going.

Kind of a shitty way to convoy all clustered together like that.
|
|
I have a feeling thats one convoy you wouldnt want to try to hijack.

First 3 seconds of that video impressed me more than the drunk driver.

I've only ever seen a truck like that one other time. It was in a convoy, with a helicopter overhead, in a part of Montana you can't throw a rock and NOT hit a solo.

Heh!
Not the first time. I think it was empty, but they managed to roll a nuke transporter in Minot. I used to get a kick out of it when I lived on a SAC base in the 80's. They would lock shit down tight when it was time for a move. |

Where does it say it's a nuke Dunno, but the hazmat placard on the trailer made me giggle. It was difficult to make out what number was on the placard, but I doubt they would haul a nuke like that. |

Anyone notice the helo in the background? Couldn't tell if it was a Huey or Blackhawk. QRF bird possibly?

They really do. If they were smart they'd buy an old Swift truck and trailer, reinforce the hell out of it and hide in plain site. But nope, not our rocket scientists, have to make a big show out of it. |

Wonder how many "normal" trucks passed through that route shortly before and after that one. |

From that picture it looks like the doors would slide underneath but in the video the doors are on the side still. Maybe the truck in the video was empty? |

Nuke convoys don't stop for anything. If they do you have a nice little National Defense Area set up in the middle of your roadway.

What would be the purpose of moving a nuke? Decommissioning or upgrades?
Something else? |
