Quoted: We need an armor/tank expert in this thread to tell dummies like me who these destroyed vehicles belonged to. View Quote Hard to tell who these belong to, as both sides use COMBLOC vehicles. Probably why Russian vehicles are marked with Z. Some of these are new to me, others I’ve studied or seen in Janes books. I‘ll chime in when appropriate. Quoted: Probably a dumb question, but what does the "Z" designate? View Quote I had started a similar thread yesterday. My best guess is similar to "invasion stripes" so they can quickly distinguish their vehicles from the defenders, since both are running similar stuff. Can't say that for a fact, but that's my guess. |

Quoted: Looking for answers as well. Makes me think the pics are from training exercises. View Quote Dont know for sure, but to me it is clearly an attempt to identify themselves friend or foe. Russians seem to be using white / red. Ukrainians seem to be using yellow. They all look the same to me because the weapons and inconsistency in uniforms. Good for the Ukrainians fighting.
