Guard/Center is the position I'll probably be watching the closest as the FA market develops. The Chiefs should be able to find some value there, and it's a position of need.

The Falcons have entered the chat.

There are still a bunch of guys (like Chicago's Ifedi) who are not on the free agent list until next week since they haven't been "released" yet. But here's a list of current guys on the FA list, the top 20 based on pay last year. Sorted by how much they were paid in 2020, high to low, then age:
Joe Thuney 29
Gabe Jackson 30
Kevin Zeitler 31
Richie Incognito 38
Nick Easton 29
Lane Taylor 32
James Carpenter 32
JR Sweezy 32
Senio Kelemete 31
John Miller 28
Austin Blythe 29
Jon Feliciano 29
Elijah Wilkinson 26
Brian Winters 30
Tom Compton 32
Mike Iupati 34
Jermaine Eleumunor 27
Alex Redmond 26
Forrest Lamp 27
Michael Schofield 31

There is also Kyle Long coming out of retirement, and when he was healthy, he was one of the best guards around.

James carpenter is complete trash. The only list he belongs on is retired.

Well, the Bears O-line did give up about 20 (IIRC) less sacks last season than the Seahawks did.  I'm not sure how much of that is on Wilson holding the ball too long though.

That puts them around $20 million of dead cap and only 20 million to go to get under the cap. Then they still have continue cuts to sign draftees.

Sad day.

Fisher will probably be brought back at some point at a lower price. Hopefully Schwartz retires.

If LDT didn’t opt out last season he probably wouldn’t have been on the 2021 team. Can’t cut a Covid opt-out doctor hero though. That would be a bad look.

Schwartz freed up $6.255M overall with a $3.75M dead cap
Fisher freed up $12M overall with a $3.181M dead cap

So freed up $18.25M, ate almost $7M.

Opened up left and right tackle spots. Guess we know what the Chiefs will be drafting.

The Chiefs effectively have no O-line at all anymore. They have a couple of depth guys on the interior, they have whatever Lucas Niang is, and that's it.

They can't draft their way out of this problem. I mean... they probably need to make at LEAST 2-3 draft pics on the OL, but they have to bring in veterans. It's not optional.

I'm guessing they're banking on getting better value/production from the wave of guys on the market after getting cut than they would from Schwartz and Fisher after their injuries.

This still sucks hard. I liked both of those guys quite a bit.

If O'brien were still in charge, they could probably get it for a set of used practice jerseys and a tub of orange slices.

Even more interested in seeing the libtards' mental gymnastics in pretending the SJW bullshit had absolutely nothing to do with it and instead the ratings drop was because of a pandemic that kept most people at home by their TVs.

Exactly.  I'm not sure who they think is buying that trapping people in their houses with their TVs is the reason people are watching their TVs less.

Barring significant injuries or Brady's play dropping off in a major way, they should be able to pretty much sleepwalk to a division title.

Between the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers 9 wins should probably be enough.  As of now anyway.
