View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Sports Illustrated : Steelers QB Mason Rudolph Becomes Trade Option for Jets The New York Jets have found themselves in an untimely situation as they now try to find a replacement at quarterback. Zach Wilson limped to the sideline in the Jets' preseason opener and while the team hopes it's not an ACL tear, there's some worry it's a significant knee injury. Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers are keeping their quarterback competition alive, but giving the answers to the test before it's handed out. Mitch Trubisky seems to be the starter, with Mason Rudolph working as the backup with Kenny Pickett. All offseason, the rumor has been that Rudolph could find himself being traded during the preseason to a team in need of a quarterback. His asking price is rather low, and maybe, the Jets are the team that will be looking. Rudolph adds to a group to allow New York to operate with less fear of replacing Wilson. If their second-year QB needs most of the season to recover, they could give the job to White, but predicting solid results is a guess and nothing more. Why not go after Jimmy G? Robert Saleh has the connection back to SF, it's out of conference, they only need him for the year and his cap isn't THAT bad for a decent starter... Depending on the pick you can probably even get SF to carry some of the salary. |

Both have been hurt a lot. |

Quoted: Who else is there when we discuss player/position grades? PFF. I just love the conversation surrounding this bit this morning. Wilson complains about line, Wilson leaves, line grades #1 (preseason wk1, I know, but still). You have people jumping to the conclusions already saying it's easier for the line to protect without Wilson holding the ball forever, you have people who are suggesting the line only improved because they traded Wilson and got the draft picks in order to take the lineman (one selected 9th overall with Broncos pick), and you have people reminding those guys that they would have had the 10th pick anyways if they didn't trade for Adams. I just enjoy the Seahawks fans' overall commentary in general right now. People who love/hate Russ. People who love/hate Pete. People who love/hate the Hawks. They are a very volatile and mixed group. That's a lot of money for reselling $20 tickets... By percentage, Washington was the lowest attended football team in the NFL last season with just 64.3% occupancy of their home games. That was 15% lower than the next worst team (Lions - 79.9%). They were the lowest combined draw (home and away games) at 80%, almost 10% lower than the Lions (89.1%). |

I suspect by the end of the week we'll have around 30 new players on IR. There were over 30 placed on IR before the 1st games began. |

How beneficial is the NFL network? I have it through Sling TV and was considering dropping Sling since Better Call Saul is over. I normally just have games on over the air channels.

Wholesome content. Two year old Aria Rubens of De Pere, WI has become a viral sensation for having her tea parties at the Packers training camp. She has been filmed and photographed offering players her Disney princess teacup as they come/go from the field. Wearing a Packers cheerleading outfit of course. Looks like she has shown up with her tea set on at least 3 separate days.

Has anyone, other than DW and his team, argued that 6 games is appropriate or too harsh? Honestly? I don’t think suspensions for off the field behavior should be a thing. Let the legal system punish any infractions for things unrelated to their employment with the NFL. If their conduct is unbecoming, then fire them. So I say too harsh. |

Quoted: Kyler Murray is a top 10 QB? View Quote Josh Allen Tom Brady Justin Herbert Aaron Rodgers Pat Mahomes Matt Stafford Joe Burrow Russell Wilson Kyler Murray Lamar Jackson So the argument then is who is left out/who should be in? The only possible arguments I can think of, who MAYBE should be on the list, are: Derek Carr Dak Prescott Kirk Cousins I would trend toward leaving Carr and Cousins out. Cousins puts up very safe/good numbers without ever winning. He could potentially end up being one of the best quarterback of all time, without a winning record, the way he is headed. Carr had that one fantastic season, but he's generally a top 10 yardage guy, and on the bubble with passer rating/QBR, but usually lower on the TD chart. Dak's numbers last season were arguably better than both Carr's and Cousins' and probably is the best suggestion for being added into the top 10 list. For who should be left out? I actually would probably remove Lamar over Kyler. That would be heavily based on the fact that Lamar has been declining the last two seasons and missed 5 games last season. He has a dramatic decrease in TD% (9.0 to 6.9 to 4.2) while seeing a sizable INT% increase (1.5 to 2.4 to 3.4). He also saw a sizable drop in both passer rating (113 to 99 to 87) and QBR (83 to 67 to 50) while surrendering a MUCH higher sack% (5.4 to 7.2 to 9.0). Lamar might have more talent/higher ceiling than Murray, and that's probably why he is on the list, but I would drop him due to having two consecutive seasons of declining play across the entire quarterback stat sheet. |
