Looking at Twitter regarding the Bears' situation, I'm noticing a lot of EDP445 (AKA: EatDatPussy445) references. EDP445 was the Eagles superfan that had a fairly popular Eagles-related YouTube channel and then a few years ago he was caught trying to meet up with a 13 year old girl for sex.

Via Breer: I'd be careful in jumping to conclusions on this one but it's definitely fair to say the staff there is stunned. In the words of one coach: "F***ing crazy."
Edit: You know it is going to be something crazy when none of the ranting heads on Twitter are willing to even say it online in fear of being wrong/possible backlash/repercussions. Double Edit: Makes it sound like it's not child porn, but could be something else just as bad/insane? |

Jets 3. Browns 4. Lions The Bills have entered the chat From a franchise perspective, the Bills aren't even close to the four listed. However, from a fan's perspective, the Bills would be a worthy inclusion. |

Andrew M. Stroth, a sports attorney based out of Chicago who is working with former Bears DC Alan Williams.
"Given the false rumors and what seems to be out there on social media, I just want to set the record straight that Coach Williams has some health challenges and some family issues he's dealing with and he thought it was the right time to take a step back and deal with those issues. He has tremendous respect for the Bears organization and he just though it was the time to handle this health issue and his personal matters." One would typically not need an attorney to make these kinds of statements if they were actually stepping away due to health matters... So I'm going to put some SERIOUS emphasis on "family issues" and "personal matters", and that those family issues/personal matters are probably "fucking crazy". |

Browns 4. Lions View Quote Well, let's take a look: A. The Lions are just generally mediocre. They try at times, but mediocre really is their destiny. B. The Jets also try, but unlike the Lions, they are destined for long periods of mediocrity and then every once in a while...OMG WE'RE IN THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP...shit. C. Brown is a team name, a color, and a verb, and the verb is just a simple abbreviation for "we're going to make it look like we're working hard at competing, but what we're really doing is making sure we just Brown." D. The Chargers? That team is genuinely cursed: 14-2...poof one and done. Interception to seal the playoff win late in the fourth quarter against the mighty Patriots...and before the defender and say "I got the pick!" he's stripped of it and the Patriots actually gain field position and a new set of downs in order to win the game. The aforementioned #1 offense and #1 defense on the same team in the same year...and they can't even make the playoffs because their special teams are so bad. They've had a bonafide 1st ballot hall-of-famer at QB on a damn good team for almost a decade...nada. They've had a borderline hall-of-famer for almost two decades on some damn good teams...zilch. Now they've got a top three or four QB on team with gobs of talent...0-2 this year and nothing to show for it the last two or three years. Yeah, the Chargers pissed in somebody's Wheaties 40 or 50 years ago and that somebody must've had some connections. |

Via The Guardian: The Browns sold their souls to sign Deshaun Watson. The results are not pretty
Cleveland gave up $230m, three first-round draft picks and their dignity for the quarterback. They've been rewarded with one of the league's biggest flops Cleveland went all in on Watson selling their souls in the process. He is on the books for almost $64m a year for the next three years, with no mechanism for Cleveland to move off his contract. There hasn't been - and won't be - much help from the draft either: the Browns traded their 2022, 2023 and 2024 first-round picks to the Texans in return for Watson. He could, of course, still turn things around - he's young and looked like having a shot at a Hall of Fame career just a few years ago. But if Watson continues to fall on his face, the Browns will have torched a championship window that they crawled through shame to get to. View Quote |

While we're talking about the Wilson trade though: shortly after the 2022 season, I posted that the Packers should trade Rodgers for a bunch of picks because it was THE perfect time to trade Rodgers (it was obvious the Packers' Super Bowl window had closed and it was likely Rodgers was only going to get worse and his value would drop). It turns out that Rodgers was actually the Broncos first choice, but the Packers refused to trade Rodgers so the Broncos had to settle for Wilson.
If the Packers traded Rodgers in 2022 they could have probably gotten THREE first round picks. Instead they kept Rodgers for a 2023 season in which they didn't even make the playoffs and then traded him for some used golf clubs. |
