Quoted: Bill Belichick (299-157-0) is 9 losses away from having the most regular season losses of all time. Record is currently shared by Dan Reeves (190-165-2) and Dan Fisher (173-165-1). Bill Belichick (330-170-0) is also 9 losses away from having the most combined losses (regular + post season). Record currently held by Tom Landry (270-178-6). He is still 29 regular season wins behind Don Shula for most all time (328). He is still 15 total wins (regular + post season) behind Don Shula for most combined all time (345). "Bears HC Matt Eberflus said Justin Fields (thumb) is doubtful for Week 7 against the Raiders.
Eberflus didn’t offer a specific timetable for when Fields could return, saying, “it’s really going to come down to grip strength.” Fields is not expected to undergo surgery at this time, but will instead rehab to regain his grip strength. Rookie Tyson Bagent completed 10-of-14 passes for 83 yards and one interception in relief of Fields, and would likely draw the start in Week 7 against the Raiders. If it’s not Bagent, it will be Nathan Peterman, who has mysteriously kept an NFL job for seven seasons despite throwing for 712 passing yards, four touchdowns, and 13 interceptions since entering the league in 2017." |

[i]Jail records from the Broward Sheriff's Office show that the 35-year-old was booked into jail around midnight Sunday on an out-of-county warrant. He has since been released on a $15,000 bond. Wiltrice Jackson, who is the mother of Brown's daughter, Antanyiah, who was born in 2008, spoke with TMZ and said her ex owes her nearly $31,000 in unpaid child support. "I do want him arrested," Jackson told TMZ. "Because, right now, he's making a mockery out of the judge, out of everything, because he feels like he's untouchable." "Sorry Ms. Jackson, CTEs for real. Rams CB Derion Kendrick was arrested less than 12 hours after their victory over the Cardinals yesterday.
The 23-year-old was pulled over for a traffic violation and police found a firearm and marijuana in the vehicle. He was booked at 2:14 am this morning on felony carrying a concealed weapon. Derion was a 2022 6th round pick. He has played in 21 of the 23 games since being drafted including 96% of all defensive snaps this season. This season he is surrendering a 50% comp% and has given up 134 yards and 1 TD on 30 targets (15 comp), he has 25 tackles so far. |

Quoted: Yes. Remember the players are all union members and the NFLPA and NFL bargain fine amounts and the NFL is then restricted by those amounts. Of course, this only applies to on the field conduct as well as violations such as skipping practice/camp, etc. For off the field conduct, there are no fines, but suspensions obviously take a big chunk of salary away from players. Then there are club fines (which don't usually get made public). Clubs can fine their players for things like being overweight, failing to disclose injuries, damaging equipment, losing equipment/plans/notes/playbooks, etc, etc. Those also all have to follow a bargained fine table though. There have been instances of practice squad players being elevated for a game and then receiving fines (first/second offense) which surpass their game checks.
