Planned Parenthood was co-opted decades ago the left. It has become a CONDUIT for money from the U.S. treasury to the democrat campaign fund. PP has very little to do with women's health care. It is an abortion service provider that masks that by accounting smoke & mirrors. When the left screams the loudest in D.C. about budget fights is when the feckless republicans ATTEMPT to cut funding for one of their money conduits. EVERY department has a political element to it that somehow funnels money back to the dem party. Dept of Labor, Education, Health & Human services. Hell even the government printing office prints democrat propaganda. Non-profit Planned Parenthood spent $734,000 of their donations to back a political party? Wow. Sigh, sorry but the same old pro-life BS argument does not move the MAGA ball forward. It would seem to me that taking PP off the table by funding it in a modest way would be the smart GOP move here. PP is a wedge issue so just remove the wedge. Be smart strategically for a change. Hell, anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows good and well that the abortion end of PP is The Deal of the Day. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Hell, anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows good and well that the abortion end of PP is The Deal of the Day. Now that that's out of the way, why would we give them shit? How about a trade? NFA, GCA '68 and any other federal gun laws outside of ITAR are rescinded* and we will fund everything at PP that is not the actual abortion itself? The problem is that the GOP gives stuff away and gets nothing in return. If they can't learn to deal like the The Donald then I would rather they do nothing. I'll leave the italicized portion up to you, could be guns, taxes, Commerce Clause, whatever. But I would not give a millimeter on PP without them giving me a 100 miles on whatever it was that I wanted. Make them look like they really don't care about "women's health" because they won't deal. |

In contrast to the left, free shit is a throwaway for the Republicans (not the right, the Republicans). It is a way to but some votes. Lots of FSA (SS, SSI, et c.) will vote R as long as their ox isn't gored. Hence the lack of R jihad against free shit. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

That's the game...keep you so focused on what the dems are doing you aren't paying attention to the establishment republicans pounding your backside. It isn't really "free shit", either, in any normal sense. Most Americans have paid into these things for decades. FDR was very smart in insisting on the payroll tax. He invested the vast majority of average Americans in his scheme. |

2. Democrats have little to show for their anti-Trump resistance Democrats threw everything they had into GA-6, and Republicans still won. This is only going to embolden Trump — and perhaps also Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on health care, as well as with the NRCC on retirements. Despite Trump’s 37 percent job approval rating (per Gallup), Trump hasn’t cost his party anything — at least not yet. And you have to wonder if Ossoff didn’t campaign HARD ENOUGH against Trump, especially after the initial vote in April. 3. Nancy Pelosi remains a big drag on Democrats in red states/districts While national Republicans threw the kitchen sink at Ossoff, perhaps their most potent — and consistent — attack was linking him to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. Democrats have to admit they have a Pelosi problem, especially in red states and districts. Yes, she brings money and legislative savvy to the party. But if Democratic candidates like Ossoff are going to campaign on change, Republicans can quickly undercut that message by simply showing Pelosi. It’s a legitimate question Democrats must ask themselves: Can they win back the House with Pelosi promising to stay in power? |

I don't know if it's just because we have to put up with 8 years of losing under Obama (thought he midterms showed winning back then), but was it this much fun during the Bush years? Just seems epic levels of winning and fun, and we're just getting started.

These posts, tweets, threads, whatever scare the shit of me. To paraphrase Ronald Reagan: Everything these people "know" to be true isn't. They live in a dream world that is so alien from reality that I am not sure they can ever wake up. Even if they can, the shock of realizing everything they have known their entire lives to be absolute bullshit may be enough to send them into the deep end. This is not good. View Quote |

I love it. Now I'll be the party pooper...don't get overconfident. Special elections, small elections, and even midterms usually favor Republicans because the Democrats need the youth vote and the hood rat vote to win. These two groups have zero interest in these elections. 2020 and even 2018 will be battle. We must continue to hammer them and social media with facts, logic, and common sense so that their BS influences less low info minds. View Quote Good post. |

That reshaped the political landscape and blatant hyper-partisanship was considered unpatriotic. I can't recall W ever rejecting a spending bill. Both conservatives and democrats took the opportunity to gorge themselves with taxpayer dollars. |

My .2 cents
The presidential election should have been a wake up call, but no one on the left heard the bell. This election should be another call, but they didn't hear the buzzer. Conclusion: The liberals don't want to hear it. They should suffer their own fate then. |
