He had a reputation for basically only pulling over teenagers and writing them tickets for petty shit. I'm talking "26 in a 25" type tickets. Then when I was getting ready to move away, they apparently hired on a new dude that was actually chill after the crochety old bastard was forced out. I know this because I did a nice smoky burnout at a 4-way stop on the edge of town. Slid it onto main street, ran up through 3rd gear before realizing I was in a 25 zone, just in time to see red and blues in my rear view. I got a written warning for 38.1 in a 25, and I'd bet anything I still had smoke rolling from the rear wheel wells when I passed the cop

Some are assholes. I know most of them. The county deputies are cool though. |
