So far for my game its just like 5 pokeballs or potions as a reward. I didn't know if you could only encounter a pokemon from the stamp or if it was based on the research completion so no limit per day.
(I made the question much more complex than it needed to be)

Shiny rate is better from a wild encounter then from rewards.
That's what I have read. Have to find the article.

Gotcha, i must have not been to enough Pokestops or noticed. I just hadn't seen an encounter as a reward.

Didn't get a shiny Evee today but I did get a shellder

I got 6 shiny Eevees today. 3 turned into Jolteons, 1 Flareon, 1 Vaporeon, and 1 I'm saving for an Espeon or Umbreon. The IVs weren't good on any of them, the one I'm saving was the highest CP (750).

Remember, they're also doing Community Day again tomorrow, so you have another 3 hours to find shiny Eevees.

Got 2 shinies. Sadly should have waiting till after the time frame to evolve them. The normal charged move seems pretty bad.

10 shiny yesterday. Saving them all until CD is over cause last resort sucks. Evolved regular eevees into each variant with last resort in case it gets better.
Going back today to do it again.

Wasn’t particularly impressed with it either. But then again, I was having severe connection issues during the time I had to be out and about, so not a single shiny for me.

Wait until Tuesday, I think "Last Resort" lasts through Monday for people who want to evolve Espeons and Umbreons with that move

5 more shiny today. Taking kids with me just kills it. Solo, I’m speed walking the whole time. With one of them, we crawl and “it’s hot” over and over. Next time we have a meta relevant day, they stay home!

8 more shinies today for a total of 14.

7 evolved into Jolteon

, 3 Flareon, 2 Vaporeon, and 2 I'm saving for Espeon and Umbreon.

All the IVs and CPs sucked except the one posted above.

Only one shiny eevee 14 15 12 havent evolved it yet.
But getting one helps cut the trading costs down so I can grab 5 others from my friends to complete all the shinys

But I got this one on my way to work this morning. Only can raid in the mornings now and I take a extra 30 to a hour before I have to be at work at 7.

Last night, after Last Resort went away, I started evolving. 3 Flareon in a row. Mmkay. Stopped for 10 or 15 minutes, let my daughter hit evolve on one: Flareon. Let my son: Flareon. At this point it's like WTF!!!! (I didn't say that to the kids) 5 Flareon straight. Waited until after 6pm. Evolved my CP12 shiny and got Jolteon. Then got Vaporeon, then Flareon, then Vaporeon. I have SIX shiny Flareons.
Saved the rest for Espeon, Umbreon, and next generations.
I have a hard time believeing six Flareons in a row is pure RNG. When I did my non shiny Last Resort evolves, I got one each in a row, no dupes. It's like something gets stuck on Flareon. I've seen other people report similar experiences.

ETA: Bottom line, if you only have 3 shinies, save them for Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon name trick or use the walk method for Umbreon/Espeon. Try to trade poor saps like me for duplicates of the first 3.

Finally got my first EX Raid Pass. Didn't realize I had it until I was scrolling through my items and was like "huh wtf is that black thing?"

What is an EX raid anyway? Mewtwo? Do I have a chance at actually getting one if 30 people don't show up, or is it a waste of time?

I’ve heard mixed reviews on the way the EX raids are being done now. Make sure you check the date/time. If it’s during the work day, you’ll be a lot less likely to get the number of people you need. Connect with a group (discord, FB, whatever) and find out if there are others planning on being there. I think there were about 30 people that showed up at the one where I got my Mewtwo. Enough that we were able to split up into teams via the private battle option so everyone got the bonus “team contribution” pokeballs. That was back in February, though.

It's at 3pm on a Saturday, but it's 15-20mins from the big PGO area. I haven't tried the whole Discord thing yet, but I don't have high hopes that more than a couple people will show up

Yes, it's Mewtwo. Mewtwo is a level 5 raid, and the general concensus is you need a minimum of 6 people with strong teams to beat him. Best attackers are dark, ghost, and bug as I recall. Shadow Ball Mewtwo, Gengar with ghost moves, Scizor with bug moves, Tyranitar with dark moves are all popular. Pinsir with bug moves and Houndoom with dark are cheap alternatives.

It's a Saturday, go see what happens. Show up a few minutes before it starts.

There will be a group there for sure. Definitely on a Saturday.

If you can go back a few times and battle the gym and get at least a silver medal.
Pay attention to the players in the gym that you knock out and when you return to battle again later in the day or the next day. See if they are the same players.
They are probably leveling their gym badge as much as possible and want gym control for the extra raid ball during mewtwo.
Try and hit a raid and see if anyone else there has a ex pass and see if they know about a group.

Good luck. I have done 6 and havent tried for a pass in the ex eligible gyms in a few months. No motivation.

If you want an easy way to complete the "make 3 excellent throws in a row" for Larvitar, just wait until you get a research breakthrough for Raikou, then use regular balls with nanab berries until you make 3 excellent throws in a row. He will break out, he never runs away. And his target ring is huge.

It's not perfect, it's only like 81%. But it's my best one by far and the only unevolved one I have left (I forgot about Glaceon and Leafeon coming soon, oops)

I was surprised how many people showed up. There were probably 15 or so. It was way easier and quicker than I expected. Started at 3:00 and was driving away with Mewtwo in the dex by 3:03.

It's annoying that you're going to have to evolve an Espeon and an Umbreon, plus half a dozen or more that require special items to evolve (I deleted ALL my special items a while back because they were just taking up space

).

Oh well, at least you don't have to catch a Ditto again. That one took me forever.

New shinies are Natu, Sunkern, and Pineco.
