Snipped from IG, Geissele large frame AR.

Not sure I’m feeling the decision to go with a billet lower. The upper receiver profile where it meets the handguard looks a little weird. And some strange looking rivets/screws on the upper receiver.

Maybe for some sort of charging handle gas seals or guides in the upper? Idk.

Look how much longer the receivers are. The overhang on the rear of the lower and front of the upper.

It will sell because it’s Geissele, but there better be some magic happening inside because that thing looks like a 20 pound long action.

Most products start out priced high.  Then when they burn through all the people who are willing to pay the high price, the items will sit on the shelf.  They gotta gradually lower the price to sell to more people.  Look at the century MKE guns.  They started out at like $3k.  They trickled off the shelves real slow.  Then prices worked their way down.  Now you can buy them for 1/3 the price that the early buyers got.

All the other calibers make the "STG" dimensionally incompatible with the real thing. Look at the lengths for 5.56 and 7.62x39 and compare them to 7.92x33 Kurz.

So, why would I want to pay at least $2K or so for a bastardized STG, when if "looks" are the only thing I'm after, I can spend $500 and get one of the .22LR replicas which are merely an outer shell and shoot for far less?
View Quote

I don't think this will be compatible with real STG parts anyway. Designs changes were made. You're trying to assign collector status to a brand new gun.

These aren't just an "outer shell" and can be had in a more useful caliber than .22

But they offer it in the original caliber so i'm not sure why you're complaining. Quit being poor and go buy a transferrable.

I'll take 300 blk and blast hogs with an STG

I'm sure it'll be really accurate and have cool features. But that looks like a long fat boy. I was hoping with POF and rugers offerings toward the smaller side that that would be the direction the industry went.

That's cool but it seems you could get it even lower if you moved it to the barrel just past the frame. Would that be an engineering no-no?

Didn't the 3+ only come out a year or so ago? I can't imagine they'd already phase it out for the 4. To be honest with you, now that I know the Jakl 9mm is coming, if I didn't already own a scorpion, I'd very much consider picking one of those up instead. I'm curious how the weights compare, but it looks very close functionally, but with the benefit (presumably) of using many standard AR parts in the lower. I'm willing to bet that out of the box, it'll be a better value.

EDT: I didn't notice it last night, but it's specifically marked as a concept gun, so maybe I should retract my excitement a little bit.

If the brace rules get sorted out I will too. That would make an awesome truck/car gun.
