I am glad the people of Virginia ignored all of the defeatist bullshit and instead got involved.
"Virginia has been blue for 15 years. Virginia is now the California of the east coast." "Virginia is lost". "With Dominion, republicans will never win another election." It would have been really easy for demoralized republicans to hear those messages repeated constantly and simply stay home, thinking voting is pointless, hopeless. Thankfully enough Virginia republicans and independents ignored that defeatist garbage to pull off an enormous victory. And make no mistake, this was an enormous victory. While some will try to paint this as a narrow 1 or 2 point margin of victory, considering Virginia has been solidly blue in elections by anywhere from 5 to 10 points for well over a decade now, this is in reality a swing of 6 to 12 points in republicans favor. Republicans won all 3 state level races. Republicans took control of the state house. It is very likely the democrat majority in the state senate would have also been eroded, or perhaps even flipped, had state level senate races been contested. This was a huge victory and a huge shift in public opinion. The results of this election are the people of Virginia (and America for that matter) soundly rejecting the progressive (aka commie) agenda. Be proud. You fought hard. This is well deserved victory. Now stay in the fight and see this thing through. |

Republican Virginia Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin garnered more support from Hispanic voters than Democrat Terry McCauliffe, a Fox News exit poll shows.
According to the poll, 54 percent of Hispanic voters backed Youngkin and 45 percent cast their ballots for McCauliffe — a nine percentage point difference for Virginia’s fastest-growing ethnic group. In pre-election analysis from the Washington Post, dean of the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University Mark J. Rozell noted that Latino voters are an “emerging powerhouse in Virginia politics.” “It can make a critical, perhaps, the critical difference in this election,” Rozell correctly forecasted. |

The real fight begins now, time to hold their feet to the fire VA. View Quote The hard part is NOVA. The fed gov is always growing and bringing in more workers. Who works for the gov? Mostly true believers in the gospel of big gov. So they vote for the theological party of big gov. They choose Va over Md because Va is nicer, and less bullshit taxes. But then they vote to turn us to Md because their holy prophets in the Democrat party tell them too. So NOVA is the highest populated part of the state and swings things. Sort of like Chicago versus the rest of Illinois or Ny Ny versus upstate Ny. I don’t think you could ever swing nova the other way. Even if the Dems ran a candidate that raped a child in the middle of a televised debate they would get around 2/3rds of the nova vote. Many of the NOVA recent immigrants also hate the rest of Va and post memes about only 703 or 571 area codes being real Virginia . I came out here with the army in 2007 and stayed because it’s nice and fuck California, and I’m glad we won but the problem I laid out above makes me still worry about Va’s future. Hopefully we can hold the line and imported Democrat trash doesn’t ruin this state I’ve called home most of my adult life. |
