I bought one after watching a TV show were a guy wore one.
Now, I am not nearly as good looking as that gentleman, but I like the hat. I'm as conservative as can be and I can out shoot you with your own rifles or pistols. |

Always hated those hats, they look terrible. Odds are good that the younger person wearing them is a D-bag trying to be unique by wearing an old-timey article of clothing.
Cocksucker hat is fitting, looks like something a 50-65 year old guy would wear in his convertible sports car while cruising for young guys looking to suck some cock. |

LOL I have 3. And in no way am I a snowflake or hipster. All 3 are Hanna hats, a Irish grey wool tweed, my dad's black wool, and a tan linen summer hat. The wool hats to me were as much a part of dove hunting as my Browning. My dad and I wore them to church but they come off at the door.
Unfortunately OP has a point, kind of like the cheap fedoras I see hippster azzhats wearing. But you can tell they are wearing cheap knock offs. A real Donegal Hanna hat start about $50 and goes up. Hippsters don't even have the sense to appreciate the quality of a good hat. They just appropriate what they think is cool and ruin it. |

I've had one since the early 80s, made in Ireland. Living in Florida I only wear it on St Pat's usually. Ive taken to packing it with me when I travel to shitty cold rainy places (anywhere not Fl) in fall/winter though. I like it and now that I'm an old Irish fuck, it looks pretty damn good. Like my Pop Pop, who was born in 1891.
But yeah theyve been appropriated. A local Irish bar sold them with their name on them for $30 on St Pats. There was a shit ton of millennial/brewery hipsters with them. And wearing one to an interview? The tard is strong in that one. |
