It happens from time to time. Usually the cop loses the resulting court case and are regularly fired or suspended for it later but it does happen. We have a good relationship with our local LE but in some places everything is a pissing match.

One local case.

It's rare but every once in a while you get that one asshat who thinks he can run a scene better. I've never experienced any problems in 14 years but I have heard some horror stories from the old guys about a long since retired state trooper who used to try and play chief on interstate traffic crashes. That finally resolved itself when they pulled him off the highway and stuck him in a scale house.

Politicians: self-serving elitists

Lawyers: a necessary evil, but mostly scuzzy

LEOs: self-serving elitists suckling the tax payer's teat. I've known maybe 2 or 3 decent LEOs.

Teachers: most I've known tend to be all about their benefits & pay, with little interest in actually teaching

.mil: I'm sure there are good, hard-working men & women in the military, I just have never met one who wasn't "working the system" for as little work as possible

Anyone with a tax payer supported job & benefits: to wit, DMV, cops, ATF, etc. again, they usually are about doing as litttle work from 9-5 for their entitlements

Best folks I've encountered are self-employed machinists, mechanics, accountants, landscapers, etc. the key to me is people who work, rather than suckling the taxpayer's teat.

You are correct. I work with quite a few that are just here for the pension and insurance and don't give a rats ass about the job. Not that I wouldn't leave if those things were taken away but I enjoy what I do most days.
