Quoted: lmao She needs to come stand on the long narrow 2 lane 45mph winding road near my house that these bicycle fairies always want to ride down during peak traffic times, causing a mile long backup and near-head on collisions when people try to go around them. Fuck cyclists. Go ride your children's toy at the public park. Roads are for cars. View Quote Nobody wants to run the Tour de France on the long narrow 2 lane 45mph winding road near your house. |

Quoted: If he had hit the brakes, he probably would have gotten run over (probably still would have been a pileup, but maybe not as bad). They were tightly packed, with other cyclists to his left, so swerving would have run him into other cyclists, or pointed him at the sign holder's body (instead of her arm). View Quote In the overhead video you can see the bike that hit the sign was in the second row and tried to pass the front row that was already 4 wide, that was dumb with them so close together. |

What crime did she commit? If they don't want people standing that close to the road, then why do they let them? She wasn't the only one on the side of the road with a sign. She just got too close. What she did was dumb, but the fix would be just not to let people encroach on the race like that. Now they're going to try to throw the book at her for what? Being a little careless? No wonder France loses all the wars.

Why is her dream any less important than theirs? She was facing in the direction of travel and got sideswiped by someone passing her. Share the road. Did the ones that were following too close to stop get in any trouble. Remember stay a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of you so you have time to stop.

This obviously happened because the bicycles are unsafe. They need to be equipped with common-sense safety features:
Forward collision warning blind spot detection lane departure warning airbags |

There ARE spectator rules, she broke them, they are making an example of her for good reason. |

What about the other vehicle operator's responsibility to operate their vehicles in a safe manor, leaving space to stop without colliding into the vehicle in front of them? |

Quoted: Quoted: That wreck looks like most soccer fouls or whatever they call them. Lots of drama. 21 cyclists including Britain's Chris Froome were seriously hurt. |

Those “elite athletes” couldn’t ride through a cardboard sign?
My 8 year old could blow through a cardboard sign And then they all just wrecked into each other? If people are slamming into each other, might be a good time to stop |
