Trump can't get a top-tier lawyer because he can't stand to have anyone he recognizes knows more about a given subject than he does in his circle.  The only way Trump gets talent is if one of his sycophantic lickspittles has the wherewithall to a) hire smart people and b) not tell the boss they did it.  

So, Trump will either get a second-tier lawyer directly, or get a top-tier lawyer who is insulated from him by said lickspittle.   Either way, he will not have an effective defense, but there's years of appeals to drag the process out.

The mainstream media did more with such a coordinated effort among the big three, ABC, CBS, NBC and then the smaller media corporations. The amount of media during the Trump presidency was unparalleled with anything I've seen before. And after the 6pm news, and 11pm news ALL the late night shows were secondary smear campaigns. There was almost nowhere any normal person could get away from it.  

And now compared to the Biden presidency its like a total media blackout. Everyone can tell things are going very wrong in this country yet the MSM isn't even close to the reporting it was when trump and things were doing good. Its very little trickles leaking out when you know there could be much more

The problem is the man cannot  win another general election. That's not just opinion; every objective metric available is screaming that he can't win enough moderates and independents in the battleground states to reach 270 electoral college votes to win.

The best thing that could happen is Don getting out of the race and retiring. We all know he won't; he will either get the gop nomination and lose the general OR he won't get the gop nomination and will be a little bitch and run third party. It's a guaranteed Dem in the WH for at least 4 more years if trump is in the race and he will also hurt all the candidates down ballot. Trumps lawyer woes wouldn't have anything to do with his repeatedly proven track record of:

1. Not paying his lawyers
2. Being an insufferable bastard of a client

4. Pushing his lawyers to the point where they quit, end up in jail, or testify against him

Most people seem to forget that right up until China released Covid-19, the democrats were in a complete panic. They had no good candidates to run against Trump. The economy was booming. Things were going well. DNC talking heads openly wished the economy would crash so they would have a talking point they could use against him. I remember. I saw it myself. Covid saved the democrats. The cheating sealed the deal. The left doesn't like talking about that and will try to cancel anyone who raises the issue.

Conservatives are so divided, the democrats are going to eat our lunch again in '24. The left doesn't immediately collapse into purity tests. They get the power and control first and then they argue over who is going to sit at the High Table. Conservatives never get that far. It's retarded on a grand scale. Conservatives will be dying in the DNC-FEMA camps still pushing their ridiculous purity tests. With so much on the line, you'd think there'd be some cohesion among the normals.
