little worried more panicking is coming and I have been wanting a glock 20 forever.
No interest on my credit card for another 8 months, should I do it?

I finger fucked one for the first time today. It's a beefy bitch. I damn near pulled the trigger on it but then I thought about the prospect of finding ammo and declined

10mm is hard to find yes, but a big punch, plus I got a hike coming up soon. Rather a light weight glock 20 over my 44 mag.

10mm is the only thing on shelves besides 32 and 17 around me.

Yes, yes it is. Perfect for my gorilla hands. I bought a Gen 3 G20SF and hated the grip. Sold it and bought a regular Gen 3 G20 with the cinderblock-esque grip. Kind of opposite of the norm, but it works for me.

G20s are always going to be around. They are not going away any time soon. I say hold off, you might find something more interesting in the meantime. Do you have other Glocks?

I was looking at a Canik TP9SFX Blackout for $475-ish. Does anyone here have an unbiased opinion on them?

I would. I prefer my 20 over 17 now.

I have a g20 and was recently trying to trade it for another g19.  I then changed my mind when I found out that I could get Blue Label gen 5 for 425.

Solid financial planning. You have it. Some people are using their credit cards to buy groceries and pay electric bills, but let me ask you this: after they go bankrupt what are they going to have to show for it? You think they'll still have those groceries and that electricity they went into debt to pay for? Hell no, but YOU will have a Glock 20, and that's SMART.

Jesus Christ you have a low credit limit! I've got 4 cards with over a 20k limit a piece and one that has no limit and I don't carry interest pay in full every month!

Eh - OK, long as you can pay it all off. Odd and potentially risky way to try to game another grand on top of the $2k or 5k or hell, maybe $10k already in play.

If you want something and have the means nows the time.

I swore off gun and ammo buying the past two years because I frankly just was not shooting.  Im pretty well stocked on ammo and reloading components so am not sweating things in that department thought I could have always used more but there are a few guns Ive wanted to get that I finally broke down and got.

This week alone I bought a G34 Gen 5 and a 19x.

there might be some others coming my way..We'll see.

The stuff I really wanted is probably unobtanium at this point. (biggest thing there was a Brownells XM177 clone)

Right now I probably wouldn't buy anything I don't already have ammo for.
Of course there are exceptions, some grail guns have been on my list forever, and I would buy regardless of ammo availability under the right circumstances.

I wouldn't be buying pistols anyway.  Anything on the short list for bans.

I bought a bunch of mags this year.  I put them on credit cause I dont like using debit online.  Then I sent the bill to my mom.

Saw the writing on the wall in late summer and bought a G40 and G20 when 10mm was the only pistol ammo in stock. And I paid out the ass on Gunbroker for both because they are unavailable in state.

I'd imagine you pay high prices for most things.
What, 25% higher on avg living up there?

I've bought several items on Gunbroker for no more than a local shop would charge.

Some items you pay more for, but if you're willing to wait and bid on several items, you can often do pretty well.

If your credit limit is lower than the price of a Glock you should not be buying a Glock. That's the smart answer.

Did something similar during the Walmart ammo purge last year. Had a no interest for 6 months offer on one of my cards. Bought ammo, paid it back nice and easy and got cash back later too !

Win !

Paying the minimum on a credit card is a red flag. You're already over your head. No more discretionary spending for you until you get current.

Generally, if somebody in GD posts something stupid, it's because they're stupid. We'll have to have some time to get to know you better if you want us to accept that you're just being sarcastic instead of stupid. Somebody will @ you when we're ready to digest more of your dry wit.

My local shop had ONE G20 Gen 4 left in stock when I called them yesterday.

I actually couldn't believe it.

I asked them to please set it aside for me and promptly went down there and bought it.

And yes, they are way beefier than I anticipated — in a very good way though.

Anyway, the "instant" BG check with CCW wasn't so instant, so finally had to give up on waiting and left.

Will be going back first thing today to pick it up.

Also ordered 100 rounds of Underwood 140 Grain Xtreme Penetrator ... for reasons.

If there’s any other situation besides that you’re being an idiot.
