My seborrheic dermatitis laughs at ketoconazole!

I have a had great luck with finesteride. Almost 20 years, no side effects, hair stopped thinning.
I've been on finesteride for a couple of years. Every time I go to my barber I tell him one day he'll have to do me for free.

Order Regenepure DR shampoo on Amazon. It's like 25 bucks and will grow your hair back. I've seen it not work on one person and honestly I don't think he used it.

I've seen it grow back hair on my 80 year old mother. Use it for a month and look closely, you'll see thousands of hairs exactly the same length/

Try it, trust me.

Finasteride works if you've got receding hair line.  Less so for a bald spot.  It will help maintain what you still have left, but won't really grow it back to your younger hairline.

I always had nice thick hair until my mid 50’s when it started to recede on the side of my head.I’ve been on finasteride for 8 years now.It stopped the receding and I still have a nice thick head of hair.It hasn’t grown back the hair that receded but being vain I started on the finasteride as soon as I noticed I was losing hair so there wasn’t a lot I lost in the first place.

Mid-50's lol. Op, some of us have been dealing with this at a way younger age. You got lucky to make it that long. 1-guard or shave it and move on with your life. Maybe get a boat.

I'm honestly surprised this isn't one we've nailed yet. A real cure to baldness = trillion dollar company.

Tried everything, finally being single in my 30s I said screw it and shaved it.

Got laid more. Thinning hair isn’t attractive.

Mine is receding front to back too, mid 50s. Could have been worse my dad and uncles were complete monk level  bald spots by their early 20s which looked ridiculous with 1970s hair cuts..

Back away from the Finasteride. The negative side effects come on quick and seem to be somewhat permanent. It can and probably will knock the manliness right out of you. You have been suitably warned. Don't take it.

I use a combo of both of those medications in a spray i apply once a day, usually 5 days a week. 4-5 sprays, rub it in, and my hair is perfect.

I noticed it was thinning badly on my crown and figured I’d try something non invasive at least. It worked a treat. Hair grew back thick and strong, zero side effects.

Started using it right before Covid, so early 2020 I think. It’s commonly available.

I have full bloodwork done annually. I’m very healthy. Testosterone was 593.49 NG/dL at this time last year. I’m 49. Dick still works great, I didn’t grow tits.

I’ve always taken care of my body. Diet, exercise, grooming. I like having hair and not looking like every cookie cutter bald guy my age.

My hairline is receding at 57 too.  If i could just figure out how to force the hair growing in my nose, ears and eyebrows to come out on top of my head,

I’d be set…

Both and don't wait. Get oral minoxidil and either finasteride or Dutasteride. No sides, ride out the sheds. It's like $20 a month. Ymmv

Oral DHT blockers can have HORRIFIC permanent or long term side effects. RUN AWAY. Stick to topical. If my hair ever started going I would try everything but orals. If none of that worked I would just shave it.

Sorry OP, but this.

If you made it to 50 and are just now seeing a receding hairline, you've been lucky. If it bothers you this much, shave or do a buzz cut or something. Don't take pills for this

Just shave it hurr da durrr. bro, be a real man. Lmao.

Minoxidil pill to help keep what you have and MAYBE a little crown regrowth but not likely.

Finasteride in an extremely small dose and slowly work your way up. It would skip it entirely if you think you might have ED problems.

The hair doc I saw told me he wouldn’t recommend finasteride to his son.

My hair is to far gone so I do buzz it but for how cheap these meds are you’d be at fool to not give it a shot.
