Those scopes appear to be Armson Occluded Eye Gunsights, which were an early form of red dot sight. Neat to see them inn actual use!

They're still making them, too, evidently.

I had a bunch of those from the 80's (along with a ton of SGN) that I packed up either dropped in the recycler or just left at the range for someone to pick up...with I still had them.  I know SoF is no longer published, but are there any equivalent mags on the newsstand these days?

Not my thread, but thanks!

I'd hate to see all of the history in these magazines just disappear.

Yup.... a lot of info in those magazines about the world. The Leftists would love for it all to be swept under the rug.

October 1986, Mr Kokalis (god rest his soul);

And what has this done to the market, at least temporarily? HK94s con-verted to MP5 configuration are now commanding $2, 000-$2, 700 each. Converted UZls go for a minimum of $2,000. Numrich Arms' Thompsons sell for $1,500. Very soon, machine guns will be toys for the rich alone

At least he lived to see his prophecy come true- several times over.

SCORE!!!!

I finally tracked down the last missing issue from 1979!  I present April 1979!

SoF 1979-04

As a bonus, I got the complete issue from June 1979.   The original one was missing several pages.

SoF 1979-06

I have also found three others that were missing pages and will scan them when they arrive.

Enjoy!

RSA gave the blacks their own territory. Look up bantustans. Rhodesia did Tribal Lands too.

You do realize that like 90% of the Rhodesian armed forces were blacks?  That only white soldiers were drafted?  All blacks were volenteers?   I promise that life for the average black was better in Rhodesia than it was after it fell, please feel free to be butthurt elsewhere.

SoF 1994-03

SoF 1994-04

So, I have all but one issue from the first 20 years, I am still missing November 1984.  From 1996 on I have many gaps that I am trying to fill.  If anyone has any that are not on my list and would like to donate them I would appreciate it.

The small 'x' without a background color are ones that I have found on ebay but haven't bought yet.

I probably have the Nov 84 issue. I subscribed throughout the '80s and most of the '90's. The problem is finding them...
