I will buy, my EDC is a Bodyguard 380 really bad trigger, this new LCP 2 Max looks like a replacement.

I also have the LCP 2 Lite Rack 22 LR 10+1 as a pocket ultralight, it has been 100% Reliable.

They did about 100 years ago. Look up the Savage Model 1907 - ten shot, double stack, .32 acp. Really nice little gun.

I still carry my original LCP all the time even though if I am honest I think .380 is under powered. Bottom line is I'm too lazy to strap on a real sidearm most of the time when I can pocket carry the LCP.

I'd certainly rather have the extra rounds but if it's too thick to easily pocket carry then I'll just carry something more substantial anyway.

$449 MSRP? I'll stick with my LCP2. With prices the way they are, nobody will sell below that.

I'm intrigued. I mostly carry my P365 these days, but my P32 gets carried a bit, and while I've been a fan of one extra round and a slide lock vs the LCP, this could change my mind. (I also have multiple 32's and no 380's. The rest of my 32's are early 20th century historical pieces, not carry guns)

I carry a lcp 2 with a hogue sleeve so this slightly thicker grip won’t bother me. Hope they are $350 ish street price.
I’ve  got plenty of .380

Size looks very similar to a G42 which is a good thing IMO as it should be very controllable and relatively soft shooting.

I wish Glock did it first but this looks like a G42 killer. Awesome!

I actually figured Sig would do this first. I assumed a “24/7” or whatever would remake the 365 but in a micro .380.

Well, I sold my LCP II...............was too small for my hands. Shame cause it was a good gun. Might try one of these to see how it fits. Until then I will just carry my trusty J frame

Why do we insist on taking a great pocket pistol (LCP1) and “evolving” it into a mediocre target pistol (LCP max)

I have an early LCP that I've shot so much as to wear out a barrel (Ruger put a new one on, and commented that I have one of the highest round count ones they've ever seen).

I would have been all over this 5 years ago.  Now I generally pocket carry a P365. I'd rather have 10+1 of 9mm in an easier to shoot pistol.

Recluse holster on either is your safety.

If they make one in stainless, it feels good in hand, and it's not too thick I just may replace my old stainless Gen 2. I'll bet you can get a better purchase on that thicker grip which would be nice.

I have an lcpII that I really like. I felt the sights were the only downside. Looks like they took care of that and additional capacity. I'm in.

The back of the grip has been rounded. That's an improvement . The II's was too squared off, that's the main reason I put a Hogue on mine.
The sights look great, they keep the slope that the original had keeping it snag free . It looks like it'll be roughly the same size as the II with a Hogue grip and an extended mag.
That means it's significantly smaller that the G-42 and will draw from a pocket better.
Hell, I may be a beta tester for once.

My only concern about 380acp isn't on 2 legged predators, but on something like say; Pitbulls.

Then again, 9mm has been known to do it too. IIRC a member here shot a Pitbull with a Gold Dot, and it basically followed the contour of it's skull and exited elsewhere.

I’ve been all in since day one, LCP, LCP II, this one fixes the awful sights that are one of the only real drawbacks to these pistols. The extra capacity is pure gravy.

I tried the P365XL
Striker fired just isn't my thing.
Third time trying to acclimate wasn't the charm at all.

Went back to the DAO LCP in a Recluse holster  as the BUG.
HK P30sk with the LEM V1 trigger is the primary.

10.6 vs 9.4 for the Gen 1. LCP II is also 10.6oz so it's interesting this weighs the same.

That is acceptable imo. I need a hogue grip to get enough thickness to shoot it comfortably. If I'm making the gun thicker, more rounds is a no brainer.

For me, the LCP is a "belly gun", one step up from a Derringer.  If I want to carry something a bit larger, my Kahr CM9 will do the job.  I have no interest in an LCP that is in any way larger than my Gen1.

I can't argue with what you're saying at all, time will tell I suppose.  I have been a huge G42 fan and recommend them to lots of people.  But, as long as this LCP Max works like it should, I can't see any reason to continue suggesting folks buy G42's unless they are absolutely stuck on the Glock platform like I am.

LCP II has a raised area at the rear of the grip. Looks like they made the entire frame that thickness and perhaps were able to slightly wider the magwell.

I carried a Gen 1 for years off and on, recently got rid of it because of terrible sights, small mag capacity, and generally difficult to shoot accurately. This looks like it addresses at least some of those issues. Ruger's been paying attention to customer feedback, it seems.

I'll probably pick one of these up at some point, if nothing else it's something that the wife could carry.
