The Hudson H9 is Back? The Daniel Defense H9 Pistol! |

Quoted:
Daniel H9. Did they buy Hudson? My curiosity is peaked. Hope the trigger doesn’t suck Edit that is the Hudson H9. The one I tried had an awful trigger before they went out of business. If DD fixed the parts breakage and trigger I’d give it a shot. View Quote

Quoted: Allow me to dissent from popular AR15.com opinion again. Proudly. I will never, ever, ever - in a bajillion gazillion years, ever use that thing. No amount of podcasting homos dressed in their operator-chic with their cool bro tattoos and beards will ever convince me a pistol gussied up like a carbine is viable. Jesus Christ himself could rapture everybody and come down and tell me to accept the Flux into my heart and I can go too and I'll still refuse. NUH UH! That bullshit is gayer than kissing your bearded cousin in broad daylight at your war hero grandpa's funeral. I fucking refuse to accept. Not a subgun hater either. Springfield… can you make more 1911-45 acp guns with No Optic Cuts!???? Cmon. Please!???
Seriously! A whole new line of TRPs. Only in 45? No 9mm? No optic cut? GTFO |

More retro stuff. The Vuk is mildly interesting, but a bunch of new flavors of Gen3 glocks isn't. Cheap shotguns aren't exciting. After a year of waiting for them to release the bolt gun they teased in interviews a year ago, they release a very average looking one. I apparently was expecting more. View Quote |

How? That's an absolute truckload of new products for one company in one year. I'm not sure even Ruger has ever dropped this much at once. The momentum of this company right now is incredible. Expanding the Dagger line by 3 calibers that all require significant engineering changes, introducing their first shotgun and bolt action rifle, introducing an MP7 clone in 5.7, and making PCC and Bullpup variants of the JAKL all at the same time is pretty wild. Not long ago, PSA was just some website where people went for cheap ARs. For them to go from that to this so quickly is astonishing and impressive. |

Lots of cool stuff being announced. S&W 1854, DD H9, and the PSA Vuk looks pretty cool.
I'm eagerly awaiting to see if CZ announces the Bren 2 BR, but I have my doubts |

Quoted: I think you'll see the retro stuff introduced under the H&R flag. Mike made it sound like they had stuff to show off. Understand on the rest, and why i didn't vote for them. A cheap shotgun in a world ruled by Turknelli's and cheap bolt gun in a world w/ Ruger American's...it is going to be hard to create their own niche. Derivatives of their pistols and something interesting w/ the 5.7 along w/ the bullpup Jakl they've already talked about...exactly what I was expecting. I think the shotgun and the bolt action are both potentially great moves. The Turkish shotguns are TRASH. They're poorly built and they don't work. I'd expect this PSA gun to undercut both Remington and Mossberg by a healthy margin while still being good, and I also expect them to have a bunch of fun configurations that neither of those companies do. And the Emerge bolt action looks a whole lot like a R700 in that pic. If it is, they're not going after the Ruger American and Savage Axis. They're going after the likes of Bergara. |

Quoted: Hudson definitely went under. Possible DD just bought the patents. Interesting to see if they could actually get them to run reliably on a mass production scale.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GEcuTKBWoAATE-J?format=jpg&name=medium Per the video posted by @Coffin-Nail there is only 1 part (a spring) that is the same. This and the PSA MP7-ish in 5.7. What a shit year to be trying to save $. |

Quoted: Per the TFBTV video posted in this thread it was an open secret DD bought Hudson, so they got the patents. I'm not an expert or anything close on patent law, but I'd imagine they'd need those to rebuilt the pistol to what we see today. But WTF do I know? I'm not an expert or anything close on patent law, but I'd imagine they'd need those to rebuilt the pistol to what we see today. But WTF do I know? Yes. (Per the video you mentioned) the blueprints/IP purchased by DD were the starting point. However, nothing remains the same (allegedly) except the single spring referenced above. It (supposedly) didn’t live up to DD’s standards and they basically took the idea of the Hudson H9 and re-engineered the whole damn thing into the DD H9. |

That PSA X5.7 has my full attention. Ill probably never be able to afford the Tommy Built MP7 clones at $3k+ if they ever actually come out, so this might be a suitable compromise

Quoted: I dont know, man. Pistol mounted thermal is pretty amazing...and more affordable thermal in general. I think the PSA Shotgun is a smart move as well.
