Don't know what's wrong with it, but there's enough evidence out there now that it's a safe bet to just put them up for now. B) Davidson's has joined the growing list of firearms companies that are ejecting from the P320 ride. C) There's some truth to that recent rumor that Sig is sitting on a stop-ship of 18,000 guns, and some of those were supposed to go to Davidson's. Which one is it? I guess we'll find out on the next episode... |

I posted this in one of the many 320 threads. But I will post here as it is the main one. I searched ar15.com and did not see mention of this. It appears there was a class action lawsuit from several years ago for this exact model. THIS FORM IS EXPIRED AND THE CLAIM DATE IS PAST. It was for something called a cartridge failure event which I am not sure that that means. Bad Extractor? As an addendum, although Mischief Machine beat me by about 15 minutes. I can make it happen with a single large piece of debris, and slight forward-back slide movement. Mischief Machine did it with small debris and up-down slide movement.  P320 False Auto-Sear Malfunction So it can be done at least two different ways. |

With a Glock or a P320, pulling the trigger defeats the striker block during the take up portion of the trigger pull, then starts forcing the sear down. At some point in the trigger stroke, it is inevitable that the striker block will have been defeated and the sear will have been lowered until the remaining sear engagement is less than the vertical slop in the slide, creating a condition where slide movement will finish releasing the sear. I believe the P320 has an issue, but a behavior that's inevitable in many (not all) striker fired designs probably ain't part of it. I stand corrected (*partially). I've never seen a glock do that before. *glocks don't have trouble with the sear returning to its original state when the trigger is released. |
