Quoted: Yeah I also read there's some random encounter companions that will allow anything as well, sorta like the mercs from Skyrim- one name I remember is Simon, but I don't recall where he hangs out. I've put zero effort into that so far though. View Quote Overall super impressed with this game! 500+ hours in Elite Dangerous and 50+ hours in Star Citizen and there's really nothing more I want out of Starfield. Engaging ground targets with my ship would be fun but I'm good without it. A rover would be nice for exploring - running kilometer after kilometer gets old. I'm 20 hours in now and the game just keeps getting better! There's also a LOT of functionality that is not obvious in the first few hours of each gameplay and activity. It felt overwhelming at the beginning but now it's pretty much exactly what I wanted out of the title. Only real criticism is the outpost storage sucks. Each building has less capacity than a brand new character. Would also love to see more firearms. Pretty sure I sell Maelstroms and Grendels 5-15 at a time now. Keybinds could be better if not crippled by their console gamepad requirements. Fortunately all these things are going to be fixed with mods in a matter of days. |

I just gave up on companions all together, which really makes me regret my Extrovert trait now. Sure I don't have loot mules, but I also am having an infinitely better time playing the game alone. All they need to do is tweak the "jibba jabba" setting from 11 down to 1, and tweak the "better door than a window" combat setting from 11 down to 1 as well.

Did anyone else that pre-ordered the Constellation Edition from Best Buy also get a Steam code emailed to them, labeled as "Redeem your Pre Order Bonus product on Steam" ?
I did, and when I try to redeem the code on Steam, it tells me that my account already owns the product. But this code is definitely not the code on my credit stick from the Con Edition. So did they email me a game code so I could have early access if the physical Con Edition didnt show or was late? Or is this code for the other pre-order bonuses like the skins? I can't seem to get an answer out of Best Buy customer service, all they say is all preorder bonus come from the publisher or developers, and that I need to actually call their (Best Buy) customer service, but the wait is always at least 30 minutes when I call. Can't call my local store anymore apparently, I always get shunted to Vivecamarandrom's call center in Bangledesh. |

Andreja is supposedly a morally gray character (based on in-game dialogue), but she flipped out like everyone else when I've done morally questionable things. Sidenote: I've been using Andreja a lot because she's a "stealth" companion, but she's prone to the same issues as the others as far as running into the line of fire and giving away my position when I'm sneaking around. I think a true stealth character requires you to be solo. |

I just learned you can use console commands to make outpost storage not suck! Will disable achievements if you don't have the disable disabling achievements mod but IMO worth it either way. Finally have just four boxes - solids, liquids, gasses, and warehouse - at my main outpost. I can dump my load and it gets automatically sorted. By default, the warehouse only holds like 100kg of stuff which is about 20 things... Which you need at east 5-50 for each item you make and research.
Open the console with ` and click on the thing you want to modify (the container) so that an ID shows up on the console, then type: setav carryweight 1000 or whatever you want it to hold.

I was on my way to the Red Mile as part of the Freestar Ranger questline and the system between me and there had three Freestar ships fighting three Spacer ships. The second I entered the system all six of them were hostile against me. They weren't fighting each other, all of them were gunning for me. So I killed all six and never got a bounty. I had no companions with me at the time so the only witness to the whole thing were the seat cushions and the 450 kilos of shit in the cargo bay. Well, 450 kilos minus like ten ship repair units. |

I finally found a companion I can live with: Andreja.
She's like a bitter Sarah, but not as bitchy-naggy. She also doesn't seem to get in my way as much as the others, but that could just be me seeing a difference where there isn't one. Out of all the members of Consternation, Andreja is the most tolerable personality wise. If you told me I had to go on a mission with Boss Bitch, Gay Blackstronaut, Cowboy Mom, The Roboz, or Acerbic Goth Chick... I gotta go with the Goth Chick. And I really don't like how if you avoid using companions because you know they will not like your mission choices, why is it the game then wants you to talk to them back at the clubhouse so they can basically shit on your mission choices from the peanut gallery? Looks like I'm not talking to you chumps anymore regardless of what the side missions want me to do. |

Bugs? Of course there are bugs...it's a computer program. Please name for me ONE game released in the modern PC gaming era that didn't have bugs and operated flawlessly upon release.
Was I stuck being invisible for quite a while? Yep. Do my human companions treat space suits like optional attire while in zero oxygen environments? Yep. Does the game randomly quit every so often when I try to open a door? Yep. Can my companions no-clip through closed doors to shoot bad guys on the other side? Yep. Do I care? Nope.
