Great movie, acting was great, Dinos were awesome, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the CGI, it honestly lived up to and exceeded my expectations.
I wouldn't say it's better than the original because that film was ahead of its time and was fantastically executed, but I absolutely loved JW.

Just got out of the cinema. There were some 3D shots that were VERY badly done, but overall it was a good looking film. They got lazy on some of the CGI on the models (closed off nostrils, airweight movement, etc), and some other niggling issues. Chris Pratt did a fantastic job but I honestly would have cheered if the Hardly Boys had gotten eaten by supersaurus.

All in all, it was enjoyable.

It looked like a Marlin 1895 guide gun in 45-70. There were several close-up shots of the cartridges on his sling.

I was pleasantly surprised by the movie. I enjoyed it a lot. More than anything, I liked that it made sense. Too many movies these days abandon logic and coherence if they get in the way of big action sequences or wowing effects. It's like a plot the audience can actually follow just isn't a requirement for modern day movies. Jurassic World was refreshing in that respect.

Took the family tonight.  15 y/o, 12 y/o, and 6 y/o. Wife also.

We all enjoyed it.  The only thing that really detracted from it being great was the crappy CGI.  It was BAD.  They even half-assed a crow in CGI at the beginning.  It just didn't have the realism of JP and that kind of killed it for more a little.

Look up the Jba Fofi - a 5 foot spider that exists in the Congo... Africa is bigger than you think, consider before you discount the existence of things... Dr Hovind has said after most of his speeches someone from the audience has come forward having seen something for instance giant " dinosaurs" can be seen in the water from high bridges occasionally. Why do ancient cultures have carvings of dinosaurs? Why do so many cultures agree with what Dragons look like? Was God a liar when he described dinosaurs as currently living creatures in the book of Job? Last mission trip I went on, I even saw something that might be explained that way

Did you make macaroni art during your last mission trip? Did the priest check your biscuits?

You have heard the story of the two young men who sold themselves to a slave owner so they could go to the isalnd where he owned slaves, and witness to them for LIFE? As they were leaving on the boat with their family watching one of them cried out "Shall not the Lamb have the full reward of his suffering".  Now that's missions. Some people have nothing better to do but sit there and make fun, and others have really done something.

The J'ba Fofi (Baka: "giant spider"), also known as the Congolese Giant Spider is a cryptozoological creature that is said to exist in the Congo

Cryptozoology (from Greek ???pt??, kryptos, "hidden" + zoology; literally, "study of hidden animals") is a pseudoscience

Luckily I have a pet Tyrannosaurus Rex in my back yard to protect me from such things.
(I can't post pics or any evidence of it, you'll just have to believe me)

The book was great.  The movie was one of the worst I've ever seen, to the point I almost left the theater.  I stayed because, "It has to get better, doesn't it?"

What makes The Lost World extra shitty is that it had Jurassic Park 1 to draw from, as well as TLW the book.  But it was abysmal.

I'm sick and tired of all the god-awful reboots, remakes, sequels, and prequels of movies that were awesome.  Robocop, Total Recall, Crystal Skull, Karate Kid, Day The Earth Stood Still... to hell with all of it.

JW world is honestly one of the best, if not the best reboot film that I have ever seen. Most reboot films are god awful.

Chris Pratt is suppose to be in Magnificent Seven along with Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington, I am really interested in seeing how that is going to turn out. Chris Pratt hasn't disappointed yet.....

I watched the original last night, and while I'll admit that the first one has the better story and feel, I like JW better. The Dinos in JW are leaps and bounds ahead of JP. Ans JW is more exciting.  Just my opinion though.

...but the divorce scene was and the good guys chasing down a Indominus rex in the jungle with a wheel gun and a lever gun respectively was also . Oh and how convenient for the T Rex to grow a conscious in the 20 yrs. since JP.

Still though... we were throughout the movie.
