So I tunnel into a bank, fill my backpack with currency, then wait for the police and they give me a hot meal and a ride to my house?

Wy isn't that fence electrified? Why doesn't it have an automatic sentry gun on the U.S. Side? Why isn't there simple a very large pile of hamburger meat rotting in the sun?

We are commiting cultural suicide.

Ignorance is bliss. The ones that cross and turn themselves in get permission to work until their hearing (which they skip). Their employer has no way of knowing when their status expires. Now, I'm assuming that many work under the table to avoid taxes, but that's already illegal and has severe penalties, which aren't enforced for either citizens or aliens.
