Quoted: So, let’s say this was off the shelf steel cased import 7.62x39 ammo. You are crushing 200, let alone 300 yard shots of 2MOA or 1.3MOA with, generously, 3 MOa ammo? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Aw jeez, not this sheeit again. 500 yards is a very difficult shot for 99% of the general population and even regular shooters can't say it's easy. Most shooters can't even practice at 300 yards, let alone 500. I've got a 200 yard range and feel lucky to have it as a resource. Lots of guys I know are limited to 100. Where the fuck are some of you guys getting this fantasy shit about "even random people off the street can hit an apple at 200-300 yards?" Seriously, where the fuck do you live? Snipersville, USA? 200-300 yards is not hard with proper info entered into a ballistic calculator and a rifle that has been zeroed correctly. At those ranges I can hit a 4" circle quite easily. IMO 200 yards is a gimme. 500 isn't that hard either(depends on the target size, but I don't have any trouble on a 10x10 plate) with a decent rifle and optic that isn't total shit. Yes, it takes a bit of practice to be half-ass at it(which is what I am). No, it isn't some extraordinary skillset. Yes, having access to a range with those distances(I do) also helps. I am by no means a good PRL shooter, in fact I'd say I'm below average. Lots of guys smoke me. It isn’t hard…if you know what you’re doing. My son started shooting prs with me when he was 15 & connects with targets out to 1k modestly reliably. But at the same time I’ve been to plenty of HTF shoots and CWs and watched arfcommers dump magazines at targets at 100 and never connect. So I think it’s pretty fair to say that 300 isn’t a chip shot for the average shooter. So, let’s say this was off the shelf steel cased import 7.62x39 ammo. You are crushing 200, let alone 300 yard shots of 2MOA or 1.3MOA with, generously, 3 MOa ammo? The plan here was (probably) to get Trump when he was on the green. This was going to be a 50 yards or less shot. IDK why everyone is debating the finer points of 7.62x39 at 300 yards. Obviously the SS walking one hole in advance blew his cover and his plan went to shit once shots were fired. It's possible the shooter wouldn't be able to see Trump from his vantage point until he was danger close. I don’t believe it's a given this guy was trying to pull a Mark Wahlberg on a can of stew. |

If there is any cooperation it will be gracious, not mandated. On a different note, Bradshaw screwed up with his statement today. He said the road wasn’t covered/closed because it was a former president even though he (Bradshaw) admitted he knew the threat level was high. That is absolutely ridiculous especially considering the recent attempt. |
