I’m late 50’s, so even though I date much younger women they mostly have kids. I typically date 33-45 yr olds, most have children I also find, as a general rule, if they are my target age range without children or never been married, they have issues I’m not willing to deal with!
Now if just sport dating I do enjoy the 22-30 years olds, and no kids allowed |

outlier here apparently.
dated and married a single mom 26 years ago. still going strong - no issues. the 'you'll never be #1' thing is overblown. didn't need my wife to tie my shoes for me... we found a good balance. i will say this though -- some details DO matter. the age / mental state of the child. is the ex a dirtbag. how 'strong' is the woman. getting on the same page in terms of discipline, etc. |

I married one. Stepson was fine from 3 until around 14. Then he became a total shitbag, and eventualy was diagnosed schizophrenic. Got two good kids out of it, but would not recommend overall.
I would not advise anyone under 35 to be involved with single moms. If you're looking to start a family shoot for mid 20s and childless. Once you're in your 40s and dating, single moms is all there is for the most part. |

 Really, after they’re 23, most of them have a kid. That’s the reality if you’re a 30+ year old and still in the dating pool. I’m married now, but I dated a couple women with kids in the past. I started dating my wife when I was 29, she was 20, with no kids on either side. |

I would date the woman first without getting the children involved. I really wouldn't even want to meet the kid or kids till I knew I wanted to spend more time with the woman .Get to know her first. After you get to know her ,then decide if she is worth getting kids involved. Good luck
