Lol. Neither will yours. There's another leg down on the way. The FED is just beginning to suck liquidity out of the market. All of this fake money has to come out of the market for it to reach a true valuation. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/422/Screenshot__39_-2517904.png Short term? Likely. Long term? Not likely at all. I say again. Cash is getting eaten alive. I’ll just stick to my long term strategy, the market is a long term bull. I just upped my SBLOC, I’m plenty liquid. But it has been a bull on coke. Now we need to detox it. Problem is its going to be worse than a bull in a china shop as it detoxes. Wrecks everything. That would be awesome. More buy low. As long as the place your income comes from isn’t effected. Why up you sbloc? To buy more? Because I restricted it too low. I give zero fucks if I lose my job. I’d have people beating down my door to employ me. Or just retire. Oh shit! Look at you all important and stuff…lol. But seriously, are you borrowing against your portfolio that is already borrowed money to buy more stocks? Cause thats rock star shit. I’m in. But I’d wait. No where near the bottom yet.(which means moar profit) No. The SBLOC while it is a margin line of credit, funds cannot be used to buy securities. I had to fill out all kinds of paper work to open it. To be so “Sure” about anything, is a level of arrogance i’ve not yet achieved. I kinda envy it though. I feel good about AAPL and BRK, but diversification is key. Can Anyone think of any other companies like Aapl? IE, growth, dominant position, large cash horde, multiple income streams, relatively low P/E? Some oil companies have that, but technology or politics or lawsuits can take that all away. Always liked XOM, but I might start getting out while the getting is good. |

And I still bought more when it was down. Price was too good. I made a HUGE mistake by selling some 5-6 years ago because it was dominating my overall value. I won’t make that mistake again. If I had not done that I wouldn’t still be working. I will never sell a rock star just for diversification sake. Never again. Tax deferred is still sp500 index funds. Which means aapl is likely 40% of my overall worth. Also, it’s not arrogance. It’s learning from my mistakes and history. And not being scared of loss. And sticking to a long term wealth building strategy and financial plan. |

But what I learned was to not sell a stock just because it’s dominating my holdings just for diversification sake. And that was the ONLY reason I sold. That went against my risk tolerance. Which is high. Hell, look at an index fund. I bet it’s 20% tech if not more. That’s where growth is, and will continue to be. |

The US consumer will run their entire life into the ground and rack up all debt before filing ch7 before they pull the throttles back Plus I would have to assume we had the COVID put going on. Why the hell did this inflation report drop the market? Wasn’t inflation already priced in?
|
|
Quoted: Why the hell did this inflation report drop the market? Wasn’t inflation already priced in? View Quote No. Many people thought it would come in less than the last report (gas down, house prices declining, etc.,) which would give the Fed room to pause or lower future rate increases. That didn't happen so the expectation is the Fed will continue to raise rates without a pause. |
