"The thing is I'm not here to mock or belittle either perspective... There's definitely an emotional vindication to be had here and to be honest I don't blame people for reacting the way they did (referring to the people who cried their eyes out). For all those Star Wars fans that waited decades to see their beloved Luke back on screen again only to see him reduced to a sad, miserable, pathetic old man drinking green alien titty milk and getting his ass handed to him by a skinny vomit-inducing Mary Sue, well, this is definitely going to put the jam back in your donuts. THIS is the Luke Skywalker we remember. The wise, powerful, formidable Jedi that's finally reached his full potential.... Yeah, just like the return of Boba Fett it's absolute shameless fan service.... but you know what: sometimes it's okay to give people what they want...." Season 2 episode 17 of TCW, “Bounty Hunters”
Looks like the Mandalorian producers copied the SS-54 Assault Ship Halo, made some changes, and creates the Razor Crest. Attached File |

As a non star wars nerd, I just wanted to say the dark troopers stuff was pretty cool. The girl power part of that episode was a real buzz kill though... The part where boba fett got manhandled by the bull dyke was awkward. Gina carano was all the girl power they needed, the rest was definitely over the top.

Working my way thru Rebels and watched an awesome episode, but I am left a little confused.
May seem stupid for most, but spoiler alert if you haven't watched Rebels (like so many I have seen in this thread) Click To View Spoiler Season 3 where Obi Wan kills Maul again.(I thought this was wonderfully done with Maul accepting that OB1 was protecting the Savior on Tatooine)
I remember reading in this thread many pages back now that Maul kills Sabine, but obviously that does not happen in this particular canon. Am I mistaken in remembering that or is there some other fan version or book/comic that this even actually happens. Following all the story arcs can be incredibly difficult |

Lots of Thrawn action at this point in Rebels.
He is ruthless, but I like him in a weird sense. Studies his enemies to know their weaknesses and takes advantage of all of them. Plus, he has a back up plan for everything, if he could get his stupid subordinates to actually listen. I don't know what he is, but an entire legion of Thrawns would be invincible. Couple that with the likelihood he is some degree of force sensitive and you have one impressive Sith. |

Quoted: The sequels should be treated as some kind of "What If" installments. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes This could be the concept that saves the franchise. It would hinge on Yoda's statement to Luke: Yoda said The dark side clouds everything. Impossible to see the future is. It's clear the Jedi can see the very near future clearly, which enables them to deflect blaster bolts with lightsabers. But free will exists, time still advances at a fixed rate, and light still travels at a finite speed. So the distant future is clouded by a combination of Heisenberg uncertainty and Brownian motion. Now I'm noodling with this romantic notion that Din's actions were a turning point launching a new set of circumstances that negate the Kylo Ren darkside timeline. Why? Because he acted selflessly and sacrificed to help a foundling simply because it is the way. |

Thanks to all for the help understanding so many different aspects of SW.
My daughter are up to our necks in watching shows and deciphering what has happened and theorizing what will happen next in the SW universe. The Mando series has been great and has brought so many characters into the storyline and we look forward to further character development and detailed story arcs. I am not nearly as critical about things as many are and am just enjoying the entertainment of it. I do love a story that ties together well, though. It is just fiction, right? or.... is it?!! LOL |

I'm just hoping that Din and Co. continue their story with an effort to retake Mandalore Hopefully Book of Boba Fett is a spinoff and not just the next season of The Mandalorian I'm happy seeing it end here. The quest is complete, the partnership between Din and Grogu is ended. Stories can have an ending, and we've seen too many examples of franchises that went on long after their story telling potential was exhausted, or outgrew the writers' abilities. At its core SW is a basic good vs evil tale. Telling stories in which the good guys act on principle, suffer for it personally, but benefit the larger story, is a proven formula. Rogue One nailed it. The 3 sequels OTOH allow Mary Janes to succeed simply because they are somehow imbued with super powers. |

So, are we all just ignoring that Din doesn't have a ship anymore? Or is that factoid just going to get plot-Magic?
Fett was obviously done shuttling him around, so what happens when Bo-Katan tells him to ESAD? "Hey, I'll trade you this sword for a starship?" Bo-Katan now has a former imperial cruiser and whatever that smaller transport class was that was carrying those weapons. |

The last words spoken in the Mandalorian should have been...
Luke; May The Force Be With You. Din Djarin; This Is The Way. (Maybe with his voice cracking a little) It would have been a good way to have a crossover between the two religions and their similar beliefs. |

I watched the interview with John on GMA (YouTube clip) and from what I could decipher the Boba series will be Dec 21 and then when it's done they'll have the next season of Mando.
But maybe they release them concurrently. I do smell that when all the Mando timeline series are done they'll have a huge crossover movie that will correct the sequels. And it will make a Bantha-butt load of money. |
