Meh. He's usually pretty spot on, but this is definitely one of his weakest videos. In this one he reminds me of one of those people who condescendingly mock people for liking something, and expounding on why they're right for liking what they like, and explaining to you why you're wrong to like their own thing.

If his biggest complaint is that Star Wars is giving us too much of what we want, I'd say maybe he's the one who should Gowaynau.

The Drinker has spoken.

"The more time that passes, the more Star Wars fans start to remind me of battered housewives smiling bravely through the heavy makeup that hides their bruises and desperately clinging to any scraps of kindness that their abusive spouses fling their way. "You don't understand, he's a better man now," they explain trying hard to convince themselves as much as you. "He promised he won't do it again."

Personally, I didn't get that at all.

"The thing is I'm not here to mock or belittle either perspective... There's definitely an emotional vindication to be had here and to be honest I don't blame people for reacting the way they did (referring to the people who cried their eyes out).  For all those Star Wars fans that waited decades to see their beloved Luke back on screen again only to see him reduced to a sad, miserable, pathetic old man drinking green alien titty milk and getting his ass handed to him by a skinny vomit-inducing Mary Sue, well, this is definitely going to put the jam back in your donuts. THIS is the Luke Skywalker we remember. The wise, powerful, formidable Jedi that's finally reached his full potential.... Yeah, just like the return of Boba Fett it's absolute shameless fan service.... but you know what: sometimes it's okay to give people what they want...."

Unless you're talking about the sequel trilogy and especially Rey, in which case, yeah, he shitted all over those.

Season 2 episode 17 of TCW, “Bounty Hunters”

Looks like the Mandalorian producers copied the SS-54 Assault Ship Halo, made some changes, and creates the Razor Crest.

I have watched the whole thing, just over a year ago. The Boba Fett cartoon is the ONLY redeeming aspect.

Don't subject anyone else to it. It's not so bad it's good, it's just BAD.

As a non star wars nerd, I just wanted to say the dark troopers stuff was pretty cool. The girl power part of that episode was a real buzz kill though... The part where boba fett got manhandled by the bull dyke was awkward. Gina carano was all the girl power they needed, the rest was definitely over the top.

Maul stabbing a girl in the back with a lightsaber wouldn't have made it in Rebels.
The most violent thing in Rebels was BoKatan chopping off a hand, or ObiWan slicing Maul.

Lots of Thrawn action at this point in Rebels.

He is ruthless, but I like him in a weird sense.

Studies his enemies to know their weaknesses and takes advantage of all of them. Plus, he has a back up plan for everything, if he could get his stupid subordinates to actually listen.

I don't know what he is, but an entire legion of Thrawns would be invincible. Couple that with the likelihood he is some degree of force sensitive and you have one impressive Sith.

I want to say that because Thrawn and the Chiss believed the Empire was their best bet to achieve the ascendency was the major decision to join with the Empire.

Thanks to all for the help understanding so many different aspects of SW.

My daughter are up to our necks in watching shows and deciphering what has happened and theorizing what will happen next in the SW universe.

The Mando series has been great and has brought so many characters into the storyline and we look forward to further character development and detailed story arcs.

I am not nearly as critical about things as many are and am just enjoying the entertainment of it. I do love a story that ties together well, though.

It is just fiction, right?  or....  is it?!!  LOL

So, are we all just ignoring that Din doesn't have a ship anymore?  Or is that factoid just going to get plot-Magic?

Fett was obviously done shuttling him around, so what happens when Bo-Katan tells him to ESAD?  "Hey, I'll trade you this sword for a starship?"  Bo-Katan now has a former imperial cruiser and whatever that smaller transport class was that was carrying those weapons.

I like this - however, the main idiotic premise of SW 7,8,9 is that Palpatine is still alive.  Even if your idea was canonized, that would still be the case.

The last words spoken in the Mandalorian should have been...

Luke;  May The Force Be With You.

Din Djarin;  This Is The Way. (Maybe with his voice cracking a little)

It would have been a good way to have a crossover between the two religions and their similar beliefs.

I watched the interview with John on GMA (YouTube clip) and from what I could decipher the Boba series will be Dec 21 and then when it's done they'll have the next season of Mando.

But maybe they release them concurrently.

I do smell that when all the Mando timeline series are done they'll have a huge crossover movie that will correct the sequels.

And it will make a Bantha-butt load of money.

There should be a few TIE fighters left on the cruiser, too.

Would be cool for Mando to spend the first couple of episodes of S3 running around in a TIE, getting vandalized by Empire-haters.  Then wakes up one morning to find it all spray painted like a kindergarten coloring book - and that's how he meets Sabine.

What they did to Luke was horrible, but, IMHO, it doesn't even compare to what they did to Anakin.  The rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin Skywalker is arguably the greatest character story in the history of science fiction.  By bringing Palpatine back it renders Anakin's sacrifice meaningless thus ruining the ending.  And a story with a shit ending that makes little to no sense isn't much of a story at all.

Anakin didn't kill Mace.  He stopped Mace from killing Palpatine, and then Palpatine killed Mace.

And it blows up right before he gets to the TIE, throwing him about 20 feet back, causing Sabine to come to his rescue with a bacta spray because she thought the pilot was an imp.

Yeah, the 90s swing revival was short lived, but it's nice little character driven story about getting over a girl and moving on.
