Question for the SW tech geeks: what model of TIE fighter was Gus Fring driving? Some sort of TIE scout / standard fighter, right?   And have they ever shown the wings/panels fold like that for landing?

Because as a kid, that always bugged me when I was playing with my SW toys - how can these things actually land without cracking the edges of the wings?

40+ years later, Favreau and team seems to have solved that problem and one of life's great mysteries has been answered.

40 years from now, geeks will be discussing the merits of the Razor Crest and arguing about the origins of Baby Yoda.

And nobody's going to remember who "Rey" or "Finn" or "Poe" are...

I watched this a week or so ago. This convinced me that I should give the animated series A Try. It also says that season one is pretty slow, and it's perfectly fine just to jump in at season 2. That is what I plan on doing.

I hope not.  The only thing I don't want to see more than I don't want to see any Skywalkers is the Jedi.

I want to see Baby Yoda raised as a force-sensitive Mandelorian to roam the galaxy and right wrongs, defend the weak, protect the innocent  stay out of politics.

Kinda like Kung Fu and The Rifleman have a green baby in space.

I cared more about that droid and felt more at its death than I have about anyone in any of the films since I was a kid.

Even the female lead is great.  Gina Carano was perfectly cast instead of some 90 lb waif.  I can believe she is badass, because she is.

Carl Weathers is perfect, and makes the show feel "period correct" if that makes any sense.  I love his lighthearted character and hope he sticks around.

Also shoutout to the mechanic lady with the grey jumpsuit and the perm who took care of BY in one of the earlier episodes.  She also looks "period correct" in the retro-futuristic way of the original films and films like Alien.

JFC no No NO, just fucking NO!  She cannot act, she's stiff as a board.

You know she is utterly forgettable and a shit actress when people say "Brie Larson? Who?" and you say "the woman in Kong: Skull Island with Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson," and people reply all befuddled, "there was a woman in Kong: Skull Island?"

Rebels was pretty hard to watch for the first season (worse than TCW season 1), but was decent enough in subsequent seasons - though never the equal of TCW.

that was something I pointed out, as I was describing the series to a friend,
"Oh Jeeze, the girlpower, Disney HAS TO have the toughgirl lady beat up the protagonist right?"
I reply, "Well yes, yes they did, BUT, but, they went out and actually got a former UFC girl, Gina Carano - who appears to be a big fan, and she's sort of a "big farm girl" .
He's not getting handled by an underfed actress, it doesn't strike you as ridiculous."

They saw, they concurred.
I think it's an interesting differentiator, and how to do that right.

I’ve seen CW & Rebels but I haven’t watched Resistance. I think the nerds are expecting Joker rated R out of these shows or angry there’s no rated R Joker Star Wars available and taking it out on these shows since the Disney trilogy sucks and some of them were even hating on the Mandalorian last night on a live stream. I typed “your idiots” in the chat. Joker was great but not every film or tv should be Breaking Bad, Joker or GOT season 1

Never watched any of the cartoons before.
Found a chronological order suggested online for watching TCW and so far I'm about 8 episodes in and really enjoying it.  Doesnt really have a cartoon feel , which originally put me off of watching it
