I think we are 4 episodes in now. 1st episode started slow but it's getting better. I'm thinking the pot heads are going to have a lot to do with helping in the end.

Maybe it's just me but I'm getting so many references to 80's films this season. Nightmare On Elm Street, Carrie, Silence Of The Lambs...

I heard about the disclaimer and bad timing. Just finished watching yesterday with my wife, and I had a more interesting takeaway.
Click To View Spoiler When the two feds protecting the kids did their job with just duty pistols against a military assault team with armor and machine guns, and held their own against an overwhelming force.

Watched season 4 episode 1 last night. Boring and woke. We're done with that show and netflix.

I live north of Rome GA. Lots of that show was filmed up here. I got off work one day later than normal and there is a street that has a "House" that is supposedly used for filming that was blocked off. I drove by it and you could see all kinds of weird lights and smog-Smoke looking stuff. Yeah they were filming so I kept going but just a block away the sides of the road are lined with cars and people are heading in that direction. OH gee the City PD is going to be getting it on tonight.
I get up to the gas station I regularly stop to get gas and there are 2 city cars parked there like normal when the filming is taking place. I go in and get a water and pay for gas come out and these 2 cars are hauling ass running code toward that house. Some people are stupid when it comes to celebrities and shit. Glad I never got into the whole film production thing. |

I'm going to watch, but I'll probably wait a few more weeks until all almost all the episodes are out (or all of them are) so I don't have to wait those weeks anticipating what's going to happen.

The horror movie stuff is well done and super creepy. There are woke elements that are a bit cringe and feel forced. The plotlines jump around a little too much. All in all, it is pretty good and miles ahead of stuff like NuTrek or anything Marvel related like Moon Knight. |

View Quote I don't think E1 was bad, but it did feel a little disappointing, perhaps a little bait and switch. I was thinking they maybe had a psychological horror narrative for this season rather than something explicitly supernatural (and maybe it pans out that way). I was very interested in exploring with an "unreliable narrator" not knowing if what we're seeing is real or in their head. The end of E1 was disappointing, but I'll keep watching for now. |

Nothing like forcing the gay thing within the first 5 minutes of episode 1.

View Quote I was getting that vibe during some scenes (along with others you mentioned). Then after whichever episode they went to see the old man in jail I saw Robert Englund in the credits afterwards and turned to the wife and was like... umm I pretty sure that's Freddy. |

I finished what's released so far and I personally think this season is the best they've put out since season 1.
Yes it starts slow but once it gets going, it's fantastic. |

I didn't realize it had a part 2 and was so mad when episode 7 faded to black

Finished the show last night. It got pretty intense and turned out to be pretty good. Now to wait for the rest of the season in July.

View Quote Click To View Spoiler Unknown Hero Agent Man knew how to run that Beretta for sure. He was moving the kids ahead of him and doing tactical reloads while engaging a superior force. I thought he was one of the better characters they've had in any season.

I binge watched it in a day.
It seemed OK to me. Don't care about the lesbian angle, tho. It explained a lot including why the Upside-down hated 11 so much from the get go. |

Haven't watched Stranger Things other than the first season which was awesome. But I just did the Far Cry 6 mission The Vanishing and it was also awesome. For those that don't know, The Vanishing is a Stranger Things themed section of Far Cry 6.

Wonder if we’ll see something like that in part 2 of season 4? |

Like I said, I haven't watched the show beyond the first season. I did like it just never continued watching it. The Fary Cry level was cool. I didn't remember a lot of the details from the show but was able to explain some of it (what little I remember) to my daughter. |

HMMMMmmmm.... Wonder why!! I like Rome as a town but we’d stay in the holiday inn express type places and the only thing open at 4am after a 16 hour day was waffle house. So we hated our lives. |

Used to go the that roller rink as a kid. Most/all of the Lenora Hills scenes were filmed in the Albuquerque area.

"Woke woke woke", you guys are a broken fucking record. Did you really not go to school with any minorities, or gay kids?
I can remember having an almost identical conversation as Steve's in ep.1 with one of my female friends about a girl she had a crush on.. and that was in 1988 or 89. Life happens. |

And I attended 2 different small town high schools in the mid-80s. Never heard of anyone being gay or lesbian. I don’t doubt that there were some predisposed that way, but if there were they kept it to themselves. |

Of all the wokeness to complain about, the thought of Uma Thurman's cute (and 23 year old) daughter tongue-fucking another chick is pretty goddamn low on my list of gripes.
