This, the companies who donate to the dems are the ones who have contracts and make their money that way. They'd care less if they offended you and you swore to never buy from them again, the gov. will keep them in business. Team Wendy is a good example.

They sure seem happy to take our $ though.  Cutting that flow off isn't going to hurt us, and well....we can support vendors that do support us.

Team wendy can go fuck a duck.  As can any company that serves the firearms community that donates to the left.  I do not need products enough to support the left.  Donate to the left and I'm out.

I recall speaking to a number of individuals in the suppressor industry that didn't want HPA to pass because it would destroy their income since the big boys like Ruger would come and completely crush them in the market.

I remember Remington cheering when GHWB passed his import ban in '89. Why did Remington cheer? Because they were losing market share to foreign imports.

Bill Ruger and his infamous letter to ban magazines.

Colt pulling out of the civilian market, focusing on smart gun tech, and wanting to deal solely with government sales.

S&W dealing with Clinton's Administration and HUD.

Daniel Defense's head honcho Marty Daniel supporting FixNICS.

Springfield Armory and Rock River Armory forming their special PAC to get an exemption in Illinois.

Ted Nugent's ammo company donating to Andrew Cuomo after passage of the SAFE Act.

Richard Swan of ARMS donating to Martha Coakley.

Etc, etc, etc, etc....

My only beef with Streamlight is they don't make LED upgrade kits for their incandescent lights.  But I know they make more money on people buying new lights versus selling upgrade kits for their older ones.

I would argue that Arisaka's Protac-to-SF endcap adapter ring and the new PKDesign tape switches make Surefire pretty dispensable.

I would not trust surefire's integrity as a company.  Their customer service department is the worst I have dealt with.  They told me to send parts in for repair or replacement and they failed to return all of them.  They claimed they did not receive all of them.  I have written and called with no luck.  Poor company.

I have one of these on my Jericho that lives in my desk. For what little I paid I'm pretty impressed, and will definitely try some of their other stuff. I'm a fan of the charging cable/magnet setup, and it's more than bright enough for use around the house.

My only worry is the throw lever seems a bit janky, which is why I put it on a pistol with shitty holster options.

All my other stuff is Streamlight, with the exception of an old 6P I keep in the car.

Like Benchmade I'll wait to see if Surefire addresses the donations to Sanchez - she's a cunt of high order, but they've a more mixed bag of donations so far. Greasing wheels with cash for contracts or access is a problem.

So I'm watching to see what happens I guess.

I've got 3 more to share shortly.
No balls if you don’t do Glock and PSA.
Both are clean. As is Magpul.

On the other hand, I won't be buying any 5.11 or Tactical Tailor stuff going forward.
Aw heck man, I like TT. What’s their story?
Tactical Tailor - Casey Ingels (CEO) - 1/16/2014 - $500 - Mark Udall (D-CO)
Not that I doubt you, but where’s this coming from? I searched him on open secrets and didn’t see anything.
https://www.opensecrets.org/donor-lookup/results?name=casey+ingels&cycle=&state=&zip=&employ=tactical&cand=
Mark Udall Committee assignments:

Committee on Armed Services
Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities
Subcommittee on Readiness and Management Support
Subcommittee on Strategic Forces (Chairman)
Committee

Now this makes sense as a legal way to bribe, but is it just certain politicians that require some grease for the wheel? TT has this as their only donation and they've been in business for many years before, and after

Tactical Tailor is based out of Washington and the doner/owner apparently has residence in Idaho. So this seems to be the only thing that makes sense as to why he would donate to a Senator out of Colorado.

Let’s see the site sponsors donations all them. And every company/MFG that has an industry board on ARFCOM bet we have our own DU sub forum no one knows about.

Also just for fun: Amazon. I can guess their leanings, i’m More interested in seeing the total and which side of the aisle is favored. They paid zero in taxes that means they must give a ton of money away creating tax breaks.

ETA- read through the shit grammar I’ve given up fighting fat fingers and auto correct on my i-tater. Also do Apple.

While I'm certain that the situations surrounding these donations to Communists are highly complex, and make sense to the companies at some level, it seems a bit underhanded to take money from a segment of the population that would be most directly affected by the legislation crafted and implemented as a result.

Our side is far more tolerant of political differences than the Communists, and many here will excuse or rationalize such behavior as a natural side effect of doing business with government agencies, which is not entirely without merit.

However, if we continue to remain tolerant, and don't hold our vendors' feet to the fire over their support for things we disagree with, I fear that our days as an effective opinion bloc are numbered.

As much as it nauseates me to say so, we need to take pages from the Communist playbook and use them to gain back the ground we have lost over the last 50 years.

We've become a country where the natural inclination is to petition the government for permission to pay money and jump through hoops to exercise rights that every criminal gets for free. It didn't used to be that way, and it makes me sick to see gun owners across the country nitpicking and discussing every minute subsection of the law in order to determine if we are ALLOWED this or that, rather than simply exercising our rights as enumerated in our Constitution.

The companies we buy from need to be aware of the fact that it's OUR money they're trying to make, even from the government.

BCHA is run by gun grabbers who have funneled a lot of money to gun grabbers and socialists.

It really isn't that surprising to see a number of gun companies donate to anti-gun politicians. The reason why is because they are in it for government contracts. That is their bread and butter. The idea of there being an industry that only caters to the civilian Market doesn't mean a large profit margin for them since politically there is a constant attack on that industry.

Even the NSSF, which is the representative lobbying group for the Firearms industry has openly and actively supported the bump stock ban and even backs Universal background checks. In the past they stated they would not do any business in a city that is anti-gun. But now with Las Vegas and Nevada becoming anti-gun due to recent elections they have backtracked on that statement and are stating that they are staying in Las Vegas for future shows.

Money is a very powerful corrupting tool.

Wow.  It really is amazing how many gun stuff companies are donating to anti gun people.

Makes you really wonder, doesn't it?

I have one surefire product and I'll keep it, but I'm not going to buy anything else from them.

Been spreading the word around about benchmade, will spread the word about surefire.  I am my friend's gun/knife nerd and they do listen to me a lot when they ask what they should buy.....and they are educated about the perils of leftist agenda (and pissed about it).

On top of that, corporations and other major companies have supported the Left in significant numbers since at least the 1950s.  They probably support the Left now more than ever.

Surefire has also donated to more Republicans than Democrats, now that I'm actually looking at their donation list.

We will shoot the marxists with the weapons they sold us?

I figure everyone is hostile to us or will sell us out for money, tbh.

More like the Marxists will shoot us with the automatic weapons manufactured by the gun companies that we supported with our meager civilian purchases.

Does that matter? Means they don’t care about their civilian customers and will donate to whoever just to make money. Rights be damned, all about the greenbacks
