Answer this... How many of your precious Bloods (Republicans) have been in support of gun control in the past??? More than you want to admit I'm sure, but you're only worried when the Crips (Democrats) are the ones in support of it. So are you only against it when your non-affiliated party is in favor of it, or are you totally against gun control? The issue with a lot of people on this post is that they feel their party is superior and clean of any anti-gun legislation, when BOTH parties have gotten their hands dirty in the gun control game. Your precious Trump is a gun-control supporter, the NRA has written some of the past gun-control bills and supported the most recent bump stock ban.

So don't sit here and act like because someone has a (R) behind their name that they are on our side.

I see this whole issue got started with the benchmade thing the other day.
Just to preface my response, I consider myself a very pro 2nd amendment supporter. I dont like the idea of surefire donating this money to a left wing politician. Just rumors now being thrown around is this politician that was donated to was up against Kamala Harris which I think by now everyone knows what her stance on 2A is.

I will wait for a response from Surefire as well, but honestly, this doesnt surprise me. Theyre just greasing a politcian for their reasons.
The ironic thing about all this is, everyone gets up in arms about benchmade, surefire, columbia clothing, nike..etc etc.
But are some of your cell providers AT&T? Verizon? Thats to name a few in that industry? Do you pay cable to Comcast? Have you ever visited Disney and soend a oenny there? All companies that donate heavily to left wing politicians. Left wing corps in general.
Is every single article of clothing we wear made in USA or in over seas sweatshops? Some of these American apparel type companies donate as well to these causes and no one  bothers to care.
What kind of vehicles do you drive? Chevy, Ford to name a few? I dont know what their particular political stance is but I know tons of people own theri products and theor products are made by employees who belong to UAW Unions. These very vehicles we purchase, the salaries of the very employess who manufacture them kick up union dues which then get rolled right back into left wing politicians and corps.
I find this crap to be stupid quite honestly.

There are two reasons to donate to a political campaign:

1. It benefits you if the candidate you donated to wins
2. It benefits you if the other candidate loses

I've never said Republicans are perfect or always on our side. Democrats are not on our side, especially ones that push for gun restrictions. Surefire chose to support our opposition.

I'm not usually a big boycott supporter.  I don't have the time to keep tabs on the politics of every company I ever deal with.

That said, I fucking hate hypocrisy.  If you sell hunting/tactical knives (Benchmade) , suppressors and weapon lights (Surefire), firearms parts (Troy), or firearms themselves (Dicks) your politics better be aligned.

AT&T, Chevy, Verizon, etc don't target firearm owners as a customer base like Surefire does.

At this point, it's their response (or even lack of a response) that should tell whether they are friendly to the 2nd or not.

If they don't respond, fuck them.

If they double down on fucking stupid (like Troy did), fuck them.

If they pull a bullshit excuse out of their ass like Benchmade tried to do, fuck them again.

Do you doubt that they are? Please tell me how giving money to Chinese commies that actually want to destroy you is better than American commies.

And liberals don't want to destroy me? Chinese have their own country, and they're an ocean away. Liberals are a few miles away, in my own state, and they have a small army of armed thugs they would love to let loose one people like me. So, yes, I would rather give money to the Chinese, than American companies that sponsor the destruction of the republic and free people. I also buy Mexican produce over Californian every time I'm at the grocery store. And I never spend money on products made in my own state, if they come from known leftist cities. You can downplay politics however you want, if it makes you sleep better. Don't expect to change one's mind though.

She was a member of the House Armed Services Committee. They would have been stupid not to donate.

Count for me, if you would, exactly how many members of the Armed Services Committee they donated to.

For extra credit, go check which party held the chair during the years of these donations.

If you saw who ITT / Exelis (night vision tube maker) donated to it would make you sick. Feinstein, Schumer, Barbara Boxer, Kerry.... and many many more.

Easily the worst company I have found in terms of funding the opposition.

Sadly I believe these donations are based off of ensuring important government contracts.  Reps who play key roles on specific committees and are also part of caucuses that vote certain ways on certain issues or who represent specific end users.

It is how the game is played.  Notice, again, the people are not of concern.

Can anyone pin down the year or even the decade that bribery became accepted and codified in America?

Not in this case. If they were after committee members, they would have played the game like Eotech or ITT Industries did (ITT / Exelis is a master of playing both sides to get a contract). Instead, they gave money to a few California congressional delegates. Giving to one member on a committee, especially if it isn't the chairman, is a fool's errand. Here's the breakdown.

2014 .- 3 recipients, 2 Republicans, 1 Democrat
Committee on Financial Services
Subcommittee on Insurance, Housing and Community Opportunity
Subcommittee on International Monetary Policy and Trade (Chairman)
Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure

Committee on Armed Services (Chairman)
As chair of the full committee, McKeon may serve as an ex officio member of all subcommittees. Even though he is the chairman of the Armed Services Committee, McKeon never served in the armed forces.
Committee on Education and the Workforce
Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Training

Committee on Armed Services
Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations
Subcommittee on Strategic Forces (Ranking Member)
Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities
Committee on Homeland Security
Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security
Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence

2012 - 5 recipients, 4 Republicans, 1 Democrat

Committee assignments:
Same as 2014 *PLUS*

Committee on Foreign Affairs
Subcommittee on the Middle East and South Asia
Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations (Chairman)
Committee on Science, Space and Technology
Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics
Subcommittee on Energy and Environment

Committee on International Relations / Committee on Foreign Affairs
Chair, Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere[40]
Chair, Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific[41]
Committee on Education and the Workforce[42][43]

2010 - 2 recipients, 1 D, 1 R

Committee on Financial Services
Subcommittee on Insurance, Housing and Community Opportunity
Subcommittee on International Monetary Policy and Trade (Chairman)
Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure
Subcommittee on Highways and Transit
Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials
Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment

Committee on Armed Services
Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations
Subcommittee on Strategic Forces (Ranking Member)
Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities
Committee on Homeland Security
Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security
Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence

Could be bribe/sway money lol...somewhat seriously.

I’m not sure why a company that patented a 60 and 100rd AR mag would donate to people who are writing bills to ban them.

I’d have to see their R support.

Remember Benchmade was ALL D donations and NO conservative ones.

Go look at their R support.

The only politicians they supported are California representatives. This wasn't to get a .gov contract. They put their money where their left coast values are.
