I'm a LSU alumn, and my son graduated from Texas A&M. To say I'm a SEC guy is an understatement. I actually don't hate any of the SEC teams except Alabama (but who doesn't ). My biggest hate is reserved for Ohio State and USC (when they're good). When you think about it, it's really weird how you hate one team and like another. It's natural to be nuts over where you went to school, but there are other sports teams with which you have no connection and you love them and hate their rivals. I like the Chicago Cubs and hate the Cardinals. No idea why - nor do I know why I have such disdain for Ohio State. The other team I really don't like is Texas because I live in Austin, it's a liberal shithole, and their fans think they deserve to win the national championship every year.

UGA may beat UF in the WLOCP simply because it's a rivalry game and anything can happen, but I don't see them beat either LSU, Bama, or even AU this year. They haven't proven they can reliably put away SEC bottom dwellers this year. Regardless of the fact that they went 2-1 against USC, UT, and UK, it took them until the 3rd quarter to pull away from both of the teams they did beat. LSU and Bama have way too much offensive firepower to let UGA hang around for half the game and either pick up the pace or wait for the opposing defense to tire out.

The only way for bama to be a 11-1, non division winner is to lose to LSU  ... at home.

So ...
LSU beats bama in Tuscaloosa making bama 11-1 ... LSU wins the SECW
UGA beats LSU in the SECCG making LSU 11-1
bama gets the nod despite having the identical record as LSU but having lost to them on their home field?

You aren't wrong about how mediocre Georgia's played.  Way below expectations.
Of course, Florida hasn't looked crisp in all of their wins either.

I'm very anxious to see what both teams look like after a week off to get healthier and work on a few things.

If LSU beats Obama at home with a less than 100% Tua, and the game is close, then I don't think Bama will fall out of the top 5.

Also, things will have to change dramatically in November before I could see Georgia or UF winning the SECG against LSU or Bama.

If LSU beats Bama at home, with or without a healthy Tua, Bama is probably going to be 6. With all the fellating that Florida is receiving, they're going to go to #5 just so the CFP can say the 2 highest ranked SEC teams will meet in the SEC championship game. I wouldn't put it past those assholes at the CFP to bump Oregon to 5, Bama 6, and then Florida 7. That way, if LSU loses in the championship game, Bama can move into the top 4.

1. LSU
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. Penn State
5. Florida

Damn... NCAA to allow athletes to cash in on their fame

ATLANTA (AP) — The Latest on the NCAA task force’s report on the feasibility of allowing athletes to profit from their names and images (all times local):

1:30 p.m.

The NCAA Board of Governors has taken the first step toward allowing athletes to cash in on their fame. The board voted unanimously on Tuesday to clear the way for the amateur athletes to “benefit from the use of their name, image and likeness.”

The vote came during a meeting at Emory University in Atlanta.

In a news release, board chair Michael V. Drake said the board realized that it “must embrace change to provide the best possible experience for college athletes.”

And that wouldn’t actually be a legitimate argument?  But throw in another grenade in the discussion, what if LSU lost with Mac Jones at QB.  Very unlikely, imo, but I’ve seen very odd things happen over the years.

I think the NCAA is very aware of the effects.  I’m sure they could legally prevent video games with actual players names being used, but it’s more advertisement and money for them.  They’ve begun embracing the ghetto culture and a de facto free agency heading in the same direction as the NFL.  I sense I’m not going to be as passionate about this sport as I have been the first 2/3s of my life.

And even more inflated egos than they’re having to deal with now.  Bad enough ESPN coaching high school kids on dramatics for the signing period.
Also even easier transfers to let everyone have an equal shot at getting on top teams for more exposure.

That's first order of effect and I don't think they care beyond that.
One and done has ruined College Basketball for me and I suspect NCAAF is headed in a similar direction.
Perhaps this not much different than return to old days of back room deals with big dollar boosters just more public.

I don’t see the NCAA being excited about this Pandora’s box at all. I think they’re talking the route they are since it’s fruitless to fight it.
California started this but other states are already drafting like legislation. The NCAA simply cannot afford to fight that in court.
They lose, which they would and then it’s very likely they will have little say in how this is handled. It will be dictated by the states.
Hell LeBron is probably already in the process of setting up an agency to manage collegiate athletes.

Vegas and SP+ thinks Georgia is almost a touchdown better than Florida even though the poles (sp) and the ESPN talking heads think Florida is the best 1 loss team in the country.

Is it against NCAA rules to supplement your team with a different college's team?

FSU already has a lock on the state/fed players.

Revised CFB Playoffs

1: UF
2: UF supplemented with prison system (FSU) Not the U?
3: UF supplemented with players that transferred to AU, but in disguises
4: Clones are close enough to zombies... Cloned zombie army of Tim Tebows!

2. A minor nit but an important one I think
4. Tebow is Alive and working for the SEC Network and NY Mets.  Aaron Hernandez no so much. No handguns on the field through.
