That list looks about right.  It's gonna be a skeleton crew, especially on offense.
In theory, all the guys stepping up to play are good players too.

Woah there champ.  Only two of them are skipping the game because of the draft.
Several of those on the list are out because of season ending injuries late in the year.
One is rumored to have academic issues keeping him out.
The rest are missing for undisclosed reasons and they have not declared for the draft.

True but they’re starters for a reason. Plus the depth issue it creates. Plus I’m wondering how mentally prepared they are? Are they going to show up this year or play halfass like the general consensus was they did in last years bowl game?
Cause you know Baylor’s coming for blood.
I’m seeing a betting edge here.

OK that’s different. I misinterpreted the post.

Maybe I’m spoiled. No NDSU player has sat out of a game willingly, for non injury purposes. Especially a postseason game.

But those NDSU post season games are playoff games. Georgia wouldn’t have 2 NFL quality players sitting out either if they were in the playoffs.
That’s just the way things are now with “regular” bowl games.

Baylor has more motivation and their lineup relatively intact.  I think their QB is gtg (concussion).  Right or wrong, this game is a letdown for Georgia.  They talk like they're not gonna let the same thing as last year repeat itself.

I picked Baylor in my pick 'em league but there are other games I feel much more confident about.

Ohio State really looked like the better team last night. They ended up killing themselves with penalties and some controversial calls, and the fact that they couldn't score TDs in the red zone. The fumble definitely looked like one to me, but I guess the pros in the replay booth know the rules better.
That was a tough call overall.
When you watched it at full speed it appeared like a no catch. When it was slowed down it appeared he had control of it and took several steps.
Since it was ruled a fumble on the field I’m surprised it was overturned.
Somewhat reminiscent of the catch / fumble controversy in the A&M / LSU game last year with the A&M tight end Sternberger.
But as the replay official announcing said: "you have to watch it in real time.  Slow motion can make anything appear as a catch."
So I’m assuming the replay guys never watch anything in slow mo?
Just all the different camera angles at real speed?

So why don't they sit out the last game of the regular season? If their only consideration is to make it to the NFL, surely there's nothing that you can show on week 13 that hasn't been demonstrated already. So why play?

Those of us (or, me) that are OSU Cowboy fans, or the fans of Jerry's ball lickers in Dallas?

I have zero illusions of OK State's playoff chances until Gundy either: 1 - Leaves; or 2 - Decides it's not OK to go 11-1, 10-2, and lose to Oklahoma every damn year. Les Miles managed to beat OU with sub-par teams, not sure why Gundy can't manage it with the teams he's brought in. He's too damn comfortable. I hope the next time he pulls his "looking at all my opportunities" BS while fishing for an undeserved raise, that Mike Holder tells him to look hard, because we're making a change.

That’s what Bosa for OSU did. Hell he quit on his team about 1/2 way thru the season iirc.
Didn’t Ed Oliver at Houston do something similar?
And don’t think for a minute that King the QB for Houston that decided to redshirt early this year isn’t transferring and or focused on his NFL stock by doing so.

Shame.  Good bowl game to play in and it’s becoming like the NFL All Star game.

At some point, if the teams stop showing up, except to get the xboxes, Beats, and other swag, then the fans will stop paying thousands for flights, tickets, rooms, food, and no one will care about watching 2nd and 3rd strings going through the motions on TV. Then, the bowls will hopefully collapse, which might actually be a good thing.

I’d suggest not wasting your time. Just catch the LSU offensive highlights on ESPN or somewhere. It was that bad.

That would be their every possession.
