Ya always got a chance to win with Mahomes is QB.... if your defense ranks 125/128/126 out of 128 over your career the win loss record sucks |

That’s puzzling unless the staff has some kids in the portal. Our class is ranked 12 with only 18 commits. Plenty of room to add players from the portal or @ the later signing date. |

When's the last time a Heisman winner was on a non NY6 team? Nearly all of them were on teams in the CFP or BCS in the last 2 decades. Lamar Jackson's Cardinals are probably the worst team to have a Heisman winner over that stretch, and they went 9-4 and played in the Citrus Bowl. |

One guy can only elevate a team so far and we were 2-10 bad in 2014 and 2016 View Quote Lamar Jackson and Louisville barely broke the top 25 when Lamar won the Heisman. Yea, it was 9 wins but they were shit and he literally carried them to half of those wins through willpower alone. Not saying that Mahomes wasn't spectacular. But in 2014 he has to be compared to Mariota who was a generational talent that peaked that year. And in 2016 he was against Lamar who *literally* carried his team. Mahomes was awesome, but he wasn't able to do (that year) what Lamar did. Mahomes has had a far better career, but as a single stand out best QB of a particular year while he was in college, he was always #2 and other players peaked around him. |

Whispers of both 5*'s that A&M is still chasing are likely heading to Aggieland.
That'd end this class with 6 five stars. We already have the best class we have ever had. If those 2 pieces fall this class will rival some of the all time great classes that Alabama has put together over the last 10y. |
