Good God, Caleb Williams is such a crying little bitch. And he wasn't alone, there were several pouty ass USC players just sitting on the bench refusing to man up and go shake their opponents hands. Despite OU's shitty season this year, so glad to see Riley and Grinch gone. Not sure if Venables is going to be our guy yet but I'm absolutely convinced that while USC will keep winning a ton of games, they will never ever win a playoff game and Riley's teams will always collapse when they play a great team, just like they did at OU. Teams are often a reflection of their head coaches personality and character. USC will get sick of Riley's underachieving bullshit in a few years.

I had packed away my scarlet and gray t-shirts, thinking the season was over. I don’t think Ohio State deserves another chance, but the playoff committee has made dumb decisions in the past. Plus it’ll be nice to wear one today, just to annoy the fuck out of the guy across the hall that used to play for Alabama.

Quote HistoryQuoted: damn, fell asleep before the end of the game, go Utah! they seem to have USC's number. they do, but caleb was clearly injured. no to take anything away from utah, they played well and the coaches were smart enough to adjust to giving more aggressive pressure on caleb when they saw he couldnt run as well. after watching that game it's easy to see how USC has so many takeaways and yet their defense stats arent very good. their players are coached to target the ball and not so much on tackling. it showed. i always hated usc - the t.u. of hollywood - but it wouldve been fun to see that offense with a healthy caleb going against the georgia defense. |

But if the conference winner is in the playoffs, and the Sugar Bowl isn't in the playoff selection (like this year), then the runner-up goes. And I think LSU would be the better draw for them. Playing in the SECCG Home state Good fan base that travels well (especially if it's less than 2 hours down the road) And you think Bama would make it to the Orange Bowl? To play Clemson? Do they deserve it? They'd get smoked by Clemson. It'd be as bad as the last time they played back in January, 2019. |
