The A-Team made me want a Mini-14, but when I got one I learned why no one ever got shot on that show.

only one thus far has been my Full sized USP .45.
I was int he market for an HK at the time and couldnt figure out which one I wanted...then I saw collateral and boom..knew I had to have a USPF .45 Otherwise the only thing I wanted was after watching the original ghost int he shell anime and saw a Mateba. And I swear it or be damned but I will own one! |

Tons of influence, but I will also usually do some reading to back up my purchases.
For example I wanted an AR for the longest time after SWAT and Earthquake, but Cooper told me they were poodle shooters so I had to wait for Bill Clinton to ban them before I bought my SP1. Han Gruber's P7? Sexy, but I read up on it and liked it even more and today it is my CCW. Big miscue? The pre-ban Mini-14 I bought for a premium and sold down the road. |

Quoted: Quoted: Jurassic Park made me want a SPAS-12 I always get a little laugh when people say this, considering how well they worked out in the movie. I reference The Terminator myself... Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile I know, but I think part of it is because Muldoon just looks like a bad ass at the beginning, and also how he works the stock so delicately and intricately just before he dies... |

M16/AR15 from the original S.W.A.T. t.v. show.
I had a toy M16 when I was about 6 and have loved the platform ever since. And, the 1911 from Magnum P.I.––of course. |

I bought a tec-9. Traded it for a 5.45 AK. That was a good trade.

Desert Eagle in .44mag after watching the first matrix movie in the theater.....
....2nd handgun I ever bought ETA: even though it is only useful for hunting it vies for the spot as my favorite handgun in my collection with my XD-40 |

Cant say that it has.
Ive only got one firearm that was on my "wish list" stemming from influence and that is my MAK-90. I saw it on the cover of the game "Red Faction II" and instantly wanted it. Everything else has been bought purley on function. |
|
The two guns I want because of TV are a bad combination of rare, expensive and useless (to me), so I'll probably never get them unless I win the lottery.
Bren Ten from Miami Vice Mini-14 Folder from The A-Team |

Enemy at the Gates made me go get a CN marked mosin sniper. To Kill a Mockingbird made me go get a single shot bolt action .22 in case I need to shoot my neighbors rabid dog. That was a Krag that killed that rabid dog! http://www.filmnight.org/images/tokill3.JPG Why yes....yes it is. I need to go shopping it seems. |

I want a nickel-plated Star Model B with pearl grips.
And a wallet that says BMF. |
|
After watching HEAT and the rifle Al Pacino had. I had to go out and buy the AK47 he used. |
|
Another vote for Quigley Down Under. It's the reason I own a Sharps.

Watching Tombstone too many times convinced me to get a Ruger New Vaquero.

Not a movie but Fallout New Vegas really made me want to get a lever action rifle.

Alot of people here posted that they forever wanted an AUG after seeing the bad guys in Diehard use them.

I started jonesing for an AR after a movie, but I don't remember which one. Guy was wearing a suit, pulled it out of his trunk or something and went to town while being all careful not to get dirty. Was a cool contradiction of sorts.
I don't know why that stuck with me. Wish I could remember what show that was. Glock, not a sissy pistol. /US Marshals
Kinda me too. But my parents always had Glocks, and it sorta set me down the path. |

God I want one of those real bad. Ya, they misidentified it as an SP2340 (which is what I have) at IMDB.com. Bet you won't find an SP2340 in Zurich, though. The original 2009/2340's had Swiss frames, not German. |

Quoted: Bonnie and Clyde made me get this.... West Hurley M1A1 disguised as a 1928. When I get bored with it, I can also play Saving Private Ryan and Kelly's Heros http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm187/tinaday50/Tommygun001-1.jpg Don't forget Vic Morrow carrying one in Combat. |

Not a gun, but Boardwalk Empire is the reason I told my wife to get me a 1918 trench knife for Christmas.

John Wayne movies (especially True Grit) - SAA and "92"-clone lever action with a big loop (have a "Duke" pistol rig too).
Deadwood - S&W Schofield (actually a repro) Humphrey Bogart (Key Largo; The Big Sleep; - Colt Model 1903 pocket hammerless in .32 ACP The Professionals (Lee Marvin); The Wild Bunch - Winchester Model 1897 shotgun Combat! - M1, M1 Carbine, M1918A2 BAR (BAR also The Sand Pebbles) Public Enemies - Remington Model 8. |

Not a movie, but playing Red Dead Redemption made me buy my first Cowboy gun, a Ruger Vaquero. THIS! I ended up getting a Uberti SAA because of that game. |
