Since this is, after all, a gun forum, lets check your knowledge of gun-related quotes from some movies past and present. Some are more obscure than others, but all have something to do with firearms. Lets see how many you know. Try not to cheat with google.
I posted the answers with links to the scenes further down on this page 1) "There's no itch that a HK MP5 can't scratch...unless of course you want an Uzi with a Wilson suppressor on it....very nice, very urban.." "I'd go with the Heckler and Koch. It's got a closed bolt, as opposed to the Uzi. Faster cyclic rate, better sights with a rear aperture...It's German as opposed to Israeli...and more accurate" 2) "A gun that's unloaded and cocked ain't good for nothin" 3) "Get yourself a Glock, lose that nickel-plated sissy pistol" 4) "SIG P226, that's state of the art, high-tech, fuckin..polymer frame fiberglass...I don't know what any of that shit means but it looks cool as crap now don't it?" 5) "Now what we have here is an HK91 - 7.62 millimeter NATO rifle made by H&K industries of West Germany. Used only once in the '68 Yemen rebellion, and given the way things went I doubt they got off more than a few rounds...you got your 20 round mags, 900 rounds per minute firepower when fully automatic. This is a quality weapon all around gentlemen. Optical sights here, telescopic of course, built in wire cutters...now here's a little something I kind of enjoy...let's say you've had a rough day of guerrilla warfare, you're hot, you're tired, you smell like you smell now...you need a little refreshment...well this bottle opener on the side here will open bottles of all nationalities...Feliz Navidad.." 6) "The is the AK47 assault rifle, the preferred weapon of your enemy. It makes a distinctive sound when fired at you, so remember it." 7) "These are brand new - we just got them in. That's a good gun. Just touch the trigger, the beam comes on and you put the red dot where you want the bullet to go. You can't miss." 8) "Hey do you got a Luger? I'm dying to get my hands on a real Luger!" 9) "Carbon fiber, .28 caliber, made in China. If you want to kill a public servant, I recommend you buy American" 10) "Kimber 1911 forty-five ACP. Seven round capacity. Seven million dollars gets you seven rounds. That's a million dollars a round baby." 11) "The Thompson jammed twice Oscar, the main spring is too tight, and it rides up and to the right on full auto." |

Well, try this on for size :)

It's an 88 magnum. It shoots through armor, through the victim, through a tree, through a school.

All from the same gun-porn flick:
"Hell, you know the only thing lower than a child molester is a politician." "Jack, you know the next we see each other, there will be a killin'." "I don't give up my gun without somebody gettin' hurt." |

Yeah, the gunrunner scenes has a bunch of word-salad nonsense in it. Just like the conspicuous MAC-10 and MAC-10/Uzi replica hybrids (later to make an appearance in the A-team TV show and 'The Killer Elite' with James Caan) that were interchanged/intermingled with the real Uzis, it was unnecessary.
Imdb has a bullshit explanation for 9mm Quad referencing Speer 'Gold-dot' ammo loaded to 'Major' 400m per second velocity. Maybe they had time-machines in Zangaro, circa 1980. Still a great movie. Even if it had 'Tears of the Sun' level technical gaffs. |
