Even NPR admitted the jackass left willingly and faced squarely the fact that good men died tying to rescue him. They played a fairly lengthy interview with some of the soldiers who were there for the search operation who can't believe what the administration is doing. There was a wiff of WTF in their reporting.
They'll bury it in a hurry, though. |

The difference between us and Obama's supporters, from the OAF article:
The Taliban are currently seeking the release of additional prisoners, but will not state specifics. Now that they have the blueprint on how to accomplish this by simply capturing an American soldier, and with the troop number drawing down to 9800+, I can only hope our service men and women keep their heads on a swivel. We are currently hoping and praying that no Americans are attacked and captured by Taliban who are now emboldened by the weakness evidenced by the Obama administration, even though it would explode in his face and put egg all over him, if it were to happen.

If Republicans let this pass without screaming at the top of their lungs and banging their boots on their congressional lecturns, then there is no hope.
We are absolutely living in the twilight zone. Susan Rice did the same spin job on the Sunday talk shows for this as she did for Benghazi. It is beyond despicable that we negotiated with terrorists and released 5 top tier bad guys in exchange for one deserter. Meanwhile, Barry won't lift a finger to get a Marine back from a country that we are supposed to be friends with. And while this smoke screen was going, the EPA sent a torpedo into the coal industry to appease the tree huggers. |

The only silver lining is that this blowing up in Obama's face hard. In comparison to other scandals, which the media slow rolled like a mofo, pretty much everybody and their uncle was on this one today. That is breakneck speed for the sympathizer media. CNN covered it all day, and not in an exactly friendly way. Hell, even MSNBC dared to question it. This is not going away, and is going to pick up steam all week. By the time it is done, this really could be the President's biggest scandal ever.

Quoted: This is actually a pretty smart move by the Obama administration on it's face, bypassing Congress to bring a soldier home right when they're taking heat on military issues, but either someone didn't do their homework or they just didn't think that people would have the nerve to object. I don't know what it is with the Obama admin, on one hand they have an army of liberal techies and internet affiliates to run their PR, on the other hand they continuously act as if this is the 1990s and they can just put out a story to the main news outlets and no one will challenge it. If the circumstances of Bergdahl's capture were so shady they should have known that his old buddies would get on twitter and other networks to talk about it to anyone who will listen. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: May 30th, 2014 - Eric Shinseki resigns amid VA scandal May 31st, 2014 - US government negotiates release of Bowe Bergdahl Hmm... Bowe Bergdahl's "safety and health were both in jeopardy," Defense Secretary Hagel says Officials said the Taliban signaled to the U.S. in November that they were ready to start new talks on the issue of detainees. After the U.S. received proof that Bergdahl was still alive, indirect talks began, with Qatar sending messages back and forth between the two parties. The talks intensified about a week ago, officials said, resulting in Bergdahl's release and the transfer of the Afghan detainees. Oh, I bet they intensified. Nailed it, the timeline is quite...suspicious. Kind of what I have been wondering, they can't really be that dumb, can they? The Bergdahl story has stunk for a long time and they think it will distract from death panel veterans? It's just dang weird.
