I found potato chips when I was in Maryland that were cooked in 100 percent lard. They were the most awsome chips Ive ever had. I cant remember the brand. I dont know if it was a local thing but I havent found lard cooked chips anywhere again,

Probably Grandma Utz Chips. Was it a brownish old style looking bag? It might have been Diefenbach's a smaller operation, or one of a few even smaller outfits. Most of the Lard fried chips are out of Pennsylvania.
