Canned corn beef, too bad you can't find it in the US anymore goddammit!

It was pretty scarce there for a while, but Walmart routinely has Libby's canned corn beef back on the shelves  again.

Sigh, not in louisville. I wanna make some hash and dammit can't find any canned corn beef.

Why not just make your own? It's not hard. My Mother makes it every St. Pattys Day, in a pressure cooker. Best shit on earth. My Mom can't cook for shit, but I'll be damned if she can't make the best corned beef I've ever had.

Probably Grandma Utz Chips. Was it a brownish old style looking bag? It might have been Diefenbach's a smaller operation, or one of a few even smaller outfits. Most of the Lard fried chips are out of Pennsylvania.

You can get Utz's online.

It was a paper bag lined with plastic. I bought the store out and took them home. never seen them again.

Isn't that odd?  Depending on how desperate you are, you can order it on-line.  Buy 10 cans and it ships free.

I love corned beef hash. Big bowl of "beast hash" and a small one of chunky applesauce with a good shot of cinnamon sugar and I'm in hog heaven. No one I know likes it.  My husband won't even sit at the table with me when I'm eating it.

I think it was Bickels.   They are from York, right over the Maryland line.  Before they were bought out by Hanover foods, (1998 had to cheat and look on the website) they had a completely different packaging.

I like these beans better than the sweet baked beans we have here, but Kroger now wants $3/can for Heinz beans! My youngest daughter(13)and I sometimes like to make English Breakfast on the weekends, and the beans are an essential part of it. I can't find decent English sausages here in TN, so we have bacon instead. Eggs, grilled bread, tomato slices, beans, bacon and coffee or tea.

Something kind of like this.

While delicious, an English breakfast makes me want to take a nap afterwards. During my trucking/manual labor employment days, a cup of coffee, a cigarette and maybe a pastry or bagel was all I wanted for breakfast.

I can go to any of the 50 grocery stores within 25 miles and find canned corned beef. That shit is awful though, soaked with fat, msg, and other shit. When I want corned beef hash for breakfast I cook a corned beef brisket for dinner the night or two before. Dice up real meat with fresh potatoes and onions, not that gelatinous shit from a can.

I used to eat it but it made me feel like I was going to have a heart attack. Every. Damn. Time.

Top with 3 fried eggs and cheese.
