Funny about the parents. For one, they told the police that "his childhood was ruined". What I think is that it was ruined FOR THEM, not him. Meaning they couldn't view him as a little kid any longer - he had been banging a grown woman and therefore knew a lot more than they thought. Now, as for him, he was due to learn about sex soon anyway, and he got just fast-tracked a little. I doubt he considered his "childhood" to be ruined in the least.
Second is that the parents figure $2.5 million will fix everything right up. Hey, if the kid's life is ruined, money ain't gonna fix it! Parents have a tough time accepting when their kids have "grown up". It's the point in time when their little babies sprout wings and leave the nest, and for many parents it's a traumatic thing. Something like this knocks the props out from under them and catches them off guard. They think they have things under their control, then suddenly find out their kid has already found out about things they consider "dirty", and they're very uncomfortable with it. Yeah, they'll have to look at him differently now, knowing he has done the Big F. No more Legos and video games and cartoons on TV ... he has entered the world of dicks and pussies and titties and blowjobs. Yee-ha! |
